"Say what myself?" I suddenly saw Yanjun appear from behind Zeren as he looked very confused.

"I-eh" I said not knowing how to continue. "Well looks like our time is over right now. See you later" he said as he winked at me before walking off.

"You seem to have gotten close to him already. Did he bother you? You seem pale" he said with a concerned voice as he caressed my cheek.

"No.. he didn't bother me. I'm just feeling a little light headed. Can we go to your place?"

He nodded as he placed his arm around my waist trying to support me in walking. I wasn't really feeling that light headed but I didn't just want to ask him on the spot.

Later when we arrived at his house I sat down on his couch as awkwardly stared at the tv which wasn't even on in the first place. "Are you sure you are alright? You have been really quiet" Yanjun asks as he sits down next to me.

"I want to ask you something.. I said directly looking at him" I could see the worry appear in his eyes as he was probably already expecting the worst to come out of me. Which maybe might be true but not in the way he is thinking.

"Zeren told me.. You used to.. have a girlfriend before me" I saw his eyes switch as it probably was a sensitive subject to him but I needed to know. "He said that something happened to her.. well at least she was suddenly gone.. and he said he didn't want a girlfriend anymore after that happened.. and I wanted to ask..-"

"Nothing happened okay.. he is telling one of his stupid lies again" Yanjun said in an unexpected angry tone. Caught of guard I didn't know how to react to it and we just stared in each others eyes for a second. "Listen Melisa.. nothing happened with her. She just left me that is all. Don't get yourself involved in things that don't concern you" he said in a harsh tone as he got up from the couch.

"I-I'm sorry.. I shouldn't have asked" I apologized as I got up ready to leave. He looked like he needed some space so it would be better if I gave him that.

"Melisa" he said as I picked up my jacket and bag.

"Don't speak to Zeren again. He is no good"

I nodded as I put on my jacket and made my way to the front door and left. I cursed at myself as I walked home regretting asking him. I have never seen him get upset like that. Why did I even think it was a good idea to ask. No why did I decide to trust on Zeren his word knowing the guy would be no good anyway.

Worst thing is. How am I planning on avoiding him. He sits next to me now and it doesn't seem like he is going to leave me alone anytime soon. Yanjun will graduate next week.. and after that.. I will only have Eric and Tess. Yanjun will be looking for a job, he told me he doesn't want to continue studying. I guess it doesn't suit him that way, he rather just wants to start making money.. for the both of us. He wants to start a new life with me. I'm so stupid.. how could I think someone like that could have actually done something bad.

Caught up in my thoughts I suddenly bumped into someone and when I looked up I saw Zeren looking at me with a smirk. "So did Yanjun tell you" I glared at him as I ignored everything he said and just walked around him.

"Leave me alone" I said as I continued on. "Hey! What is with the additude! I'm just trying to help" he said as I heard him come closer. I started to fast walk as if I was being followed by someone but really I just wanted to stay as far as possible away from him.

"I guess he didn't tell you huh? Maybe I should then" I closed my eyes trying to pretend he wasn't there but quickly opened them when I felt a pair of hands pull me back followed by a car just barely missing out on touching me. "Are you crazy?? Are you trying to kill yourself" he said still holding onto me.

"Why are you trying to ruin things between me and Yanjun??? What did he ever do to you?? What did I ever do to you??" I yelled out in anger. "Do you really think I'm doing this to hurt you?! I'm trying to protect you here! From him!" I rolled my eyes at him and turned around releasing me from his grip. "His girlfriend died" he suddenly said making me freeze on the spot.

"They got into a car accident and he was the one driving the car. He was the one driving the car while being under influence of alcohol. He knew he shouldn't have driven the car but he did. He killed her"
