[The scene shows Los Angeles Police Department. Officer Luke Skywalker is seen behind the radio dispatcher's desk, eating a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal. Rey walks up to the desk.]
Rey: Excuse me!
Luke Skywalker: Hm?
Rey: Down here! [Skywalker looks out from his desk and sees Rey] Hi!
Luke Skywalker: Oh, my gosh... I gotta tell you, you are even cuter than I thought you'd be!
Rey: Ooh, uh, you probably didn't know, but I'm not used to being called cute, I feel a little criticized by it, so...
Luke Skywalker: [Gasps] I am so sorry! Me, Luke Skywalker, the guy everyone thinks is just a donut-loving cop stereotyping you...
Rey: [giggles] That's okay. I should get to role call. So, which way do I...
Luke Skywalker: Oh, the station room's over there to the left.
Judy Hopps: Great. Thank you! [Rey walks off to the station room as the other officers watch her in amusement because of her size.]
[Rey enters the room and sees a bunch of officers, most of the large kind, conversing. She sees two of them arm wrestling. One of them pins the other guys' arm down with a huge thud, surprising Rey and causing laughter from the other officers. She walks to a chair and sits down. She looks at Officer Wexley.]
Rey: [cheerfully] Hey! Officer Kenobi. You ready to make the world a better place?
[Rey holds out her hand for a fist bump. Officer Wexley rolls his eyes, and uses his fist to push Rey's fist, she laughs half heartedly.]
Officer Statura: Atten-hut!
[As Chief Dameron, the chief of police enters, the other, larger officers bang their fists on the desks.]
Chief Dameron: Alright. Alright! Everybody sit. [Rey sits] I've got three items on the docket. First... we need to acknowledge the officer in the room. [turns to Officer Leech. They look at Leech in mild suspense] - happy birthday.
[The suspense turns into excitement; officers around Leech get involved in a tussle]
Chief Dameron: Number two; there are some new recruits with us I should introduce, but I'm not going to because I don't care.
[The officers snigger; Rey grins.]
Chief Dameron: Finally; we have fourteen missing individuals, and City Hall is nagging me to find them! This is priority number one. [Statura gives Chief Dameron the files; Dameron takes out glasses and starts handing them out to the assigned officers. Soon, everyone is gone, except for Rey.] And finally: Officer Kenobi... [Rey anxiously awaits for her assignment; Chief Dameron sighs, giving a blank stare] parking duty. Dismissed. [Rey shows signs of confusion.]
Rey: Parking duty? [gets Chief Dameron's attention, who was leaving the room] Chief? Chief Dameron? [Chief Dameron puts on his glasses and looks down at Rey] Sir, you said there were fourteen missing individuals.
Chief Dameron: So?
Rey: So I can handle one. You probably forgot, but I was top of my class at the academy.
Chief Dameron: Didn't forget. Just don't care.
Rey: Sir, I'm not just an undependable woman.
Chief Dameron: Well then, writing one hundred tickets a day should be easy. [Leaves room; Rey seems stunned, she glances angrily]
Rey: A hundred tickets, I'm not gonna write a hundred tickets. I'm gonna write two-hundred tickets! Before noon!
