"Ares is leading the other team, like normal. Well, normal-ish. Sometimes others lead, but- you know what I mean. They have Dionysus, Demeter, Aphrodite, and Hephaestus. I need to know if everyone is here. Apollo?!" I yelled out. A flurry of cheers and whoops rang out from the Apollo cabin. "Poseidon?!" I yelled teasingly. "Yay... Here, or whatever." Percy's voice rang out. I stifled a laugh. "Zeus?!" I yelled teasingly. "Yeah. I'm... here." Jason said. "Hermes!" I yelled. Whoops and cheers and whistles rang out and some "Hermes!" cheers rang out.

"Alright, we're all here!" I announced. "All right, plans. Hermes will be on the field, trying to steal the flag, because... Well, it's the Hermes Cabin. But remember to watch out for Clarisse, or just watch out for the Ares cabin in general." I said.

I cleared my throat. "Apollo cabin, you can also try to get on the field, but also try setting traps. Actually, leave that to the Athena Cabin. You can help guard the traps and disarm those in the traps. Got it?" I asked. They majority nodded.

"Now, Aphrodite's cabin i'm not really worried about. But, one thing I am worried about is Piper. Now, she's a strong fighter, and her charmspeak is almost inevitable. So, I will deal with her." I announced. Snickers passed across the crowd and I blushed slightly. "No, not because of that. It's because I understand how to... potentially avoid her charmspeak and I basically know how to fend her off." I said. People had looks of understanding on their faces, and some had skeptical looks on their faces. "How will we know that you won't go sucking each other's faces off?" Travis asked with a smirk. He high-fived his brother and they laughed.

"Because I won't." I said. At least I hoped I wouldn't.

"Wait, what about me?!" Jason and Percy asked simultaneously.

"Ah, how could I ever forget? You two are on border patrol." I said. I really don't know what they should do.

They nodded, quite glumly, and Chiron hammered his hoof on the marble.

"HEROES!" he announced. "You all should know the rules. The creek is the boundary line, and the whole forest is fair game. All magic items are allowed. The banner must be prominently displayed for the others to see, and have no more than two guards. Prisoners may be disarmed, but not bound or gagged. You can use your own weapon. No killing or maiming is allowed, and I will serve as referee and battlefield medic. Arm yourselves!"

He spread his arms, and suddenly, the tables were filled with equipment, helmets, bronze swords, spears of all sizes, daggers, and shields. Our helmets had a blue horsehair plume on top. Ares and their allies had red plumes.

"Blue team, FORWARD!" I yelled. We all cheered and shook our weapons and marched to the south woods. The red team yelled taunts as they headed to the north.

"Alright, we already have our plan set up. Jobs ready?" I asked. Cheers rang up. "Apollo, job status!" I yelled. "Field!" they whooped. "Hermes!" "Field and the flag!" "Poseidon!" "Border Patrol with Zeus!" "Zeus!" "Border Patrol with Poseidon!" "Athena!" "Planning and strategy into action!"

"Are we all set?!" I asked. Whoops rang out.

The conch horn blew, and whoops and yells rang out across the woods.

A blue-plumed child of Apollo ran past me, as graceful as a deer. I gripped the hilt of my sword and began to run towards the cover of the shadows. Jason and Percy positioned themselves in front of the flag, coins and pens ready.

In cover, I saw many, many children of Hermes sneaking through the shadows like they did it every day. I snuck forwards, dodging horribly placed traps.

Wow, those traps are.... horrific. But, then again, it was probably Clarisse who set them.
