Ouch! My arm hurts a lot! The morphine must've worn off during the night. It doesn't help that Natsuki slept on my arm last night. Speaking of which, Natsuki was gone. From what I could see, I was the only one at home. I stood up and walked to the front door, seeing a package on the porch. It was addressed to me. I grabbed it with my working hand (easier said than done) and set it on the couch. Walking into the kitchen, I retrieved the step stool from the garage. I set it up and climbed to the top of the cupboard where I hid Yuri's knives. Grabbing one, I took a closer look.
"Geez, I need to dust up here someday." I grumbled. I took a closer look at the stack of knives in front of me. It looked like one was missing. I recounted and sure enough, there were all there minus the one I had. "Huh. Maybe I'm just being paranoid." Either way, I made my way back down. Making my way to the couch, I sliced the tape holding the package. Opening the flaps of the cardboard box, I saw five passes for San Diego Comic Con International. "Alright! My passes came in!" I said, excited. In January, my friends and I somehow managed to get tickets to Comic Con. Cassie got passes for me, Janice and Melody for all four days while I got passes for Cassie and Trisha. Unfortunately, none of them could attend except for me. I went back to the cupboard with the step stool and returned the knife. Okay, something is definitely wrong here. There's definitely one missing. I know only one person who would take it. I walked up the stairs to the spare bedroom and opened the door, seeing Yuri sitting on her bed. She was wearing a red hoodie that Monika bought her.
"Oh, hello Jack! How is your arm feeling?" She asked. I walked over and sat next to her.
"How's YOUR arm?" I asked back, pulling back her sleeve. To my surprise, her arm was still bandaged up with minimal blood stains. She looked very flustered upon me doing this.
"Ah! Did I do something wrong!?" She asked. I shook my head. I'm paranoid. Yuri wouldn't go back to that.
"No, you didn't. Sorry Yuri. I'm just being paranoid. Anyway, where is everybody? Is it just us here?" I said. Yuri nodded.
"Yes, the others went out for new clothes. I decided to stay here and tend to you if need be." She replied with a smile. I smiled back.
"Huh. Nurse Yuri. I can see that." I chuckled. I then smelled the distinct smell of Jasmine oils. Yuri must have the aromatherapy stuff on. Honestly, it works. I could feel my muscles relax, my mind clear and my body soften up. Yuri laid back on the bed and seemed to go to sleep, so I stroked her purple hair and kissed her forehead before walking to my bedroom and turning on the computer. It booted up like normal before the monitor began to glitch out. "Aw come on! Not now!" I grumbled, hitting the side of the monitor. Instead of turning itself back on, it showed an image of a book. It then spat the book out of the screen, right at my face. It knocked me out of my chair and onto the floor behind me. "Can I go one week without something flying at my face?" I rolled over and looked at the book.
