On the bike ride to school my head was full of The Girls, the skit, Ray, Ramona, Habib, Ray, Mama and Papa, oh, and did I mention Ray? Uh oh, beginning stage of a crush. Nope, no, back the fuck up, not happening, I'm gonna need a stick to chase away the feels. I reached school and you could almost feel the disturbance in the school's cosmic force at my appearance. Apparently, they thought I'd be in some hole, crying. Ha! This bitches never knew me. I couldn't find a shovel.
I waited for Habib and then walked down the corridor with my head held high with him by my side. "Ah, Tyra! Why are you at school? Didn't you say you had a bad case of being-a-sucky-friendvitis?" Monica always picked the worst moments to open her mouth. She was surrounded with two other Lalaloopsies. Oh good, she also had an entourage now! Another deafening silence in the school corridor. "Hold my rings," Habib said, "Actually, you know what, I'll keep them on. It'll hurt more when I hit her." I grabbed the back of his shirt and shook my head at him. "Aww,is your pet gay gonna attack me? What's he gonna do? Spray foundation in my face?", She said in a mocking voice that made me loosen my grip on Habib's shirt. "Really, Monica? You want to add homophobia to your long list of demerits?" I tried to say it in an almost bored voice. "Shut yo' face, Morgan. I don't want puke on my shirt." Ow schnap, I had forgotten all about that.
People started sniggering and rage bubbled up inside me. "What? You angry now, Tyra? Are you going to snitch on me too?" Habib was getting harder to keep a hold off. "Oh, I forgot, you only do that do your friends, don't you? Kinda fucked up if you ask me. " Okay, that's it, this bitch was going down. I was about to slap her across the face when I felt a hand on my shoulder. "I'd stop if I were you." The whole audience stared at the new addition. Ray.
"Morgan! You managed to get a protector even when you are no one! What did he cost, you little slut?" I was focusing on all my Indian-yogic roots while Ray said "Actually, I'm here to protect you. She doesn't need my help to rip you into pieces in a variety of creative ways. I just wanted to make sure your parents got you back in a single piece." Some people had recovered enough to make a huge 'oooohh', the others simply looked dumbstruck. Here was this senior that rarely spoke, making Monica look like a bag of horse droppings, all for the sake of the exiled Tyra Morgan. What next? Beyonce riding a dinosaur through Times Square? At some point, Habib had grabbed my other shoulder and he and Ray were turning me around. I could see there faces screaming 'She's not worth it.' I turned my back on Monica and was walking away from her posse of Kardashian spawn, when she screamed at my back "Tyra, look there are two people still left by your side. Why don't you ruin their life next?" Monica actually chose the most unfortunate moments to open her mouth. I launched at her.
White hot rage was burning inside me as I felt arms wrapped around my abdomen. I didn't even care who was holding me back, all I wanted to do was tear her stupid face into shreds. She actually looked scared, and her ladies-in-waiting had fled. I was kicking my feet and flaying my nails at her, and let me tell you, a mad 17 year-old female was enough to scare Mike Tyson. If it wasn't for the person holding me back, her face would have been origami by now.
People around us were gasping, filming the insanity and chanting 'Fight!Fight!'. They wanted a fight? Well, guess it's this their lucky day. I pushed the arms away from my stomach and almost pulled at her hair when I got so angry I felt like I was floating. Wait, no! I was actually floating!
Closer inspection showed that I wasn't in fact not floating but, was being carried on the shoulder of someone. A very tall someone. Damn it, Ray.
He had flipped me on his shoulder and was carrying me away from the mess. I could see as the faces first turned to shock, then to excitement. Habib looked at me like I was shirtless Brad Pitt and a few other people had the same expression. Nobody said anything as I was literally manhandled and abducted in front of so many witnesses. Ray didn't say anything and carried me away from the stares and the judgement.
Well, turns out I needed someone to hold me back, also.
Damn it, feels! Back! Back!!

WIG FLYING!! WIG FLYING!! I can't this is so beautiful! If there is one negative character in this whole book, it's Monica. She doesn't have judgement of her own, rides on the coattails of other peoples' success and is a bitch just to have the thrill of being a bitch. It is toxic to have people like this in your life, watch out for the Monicas.
Vote, comment, show me duh muney!! Next update on Sunday!xoxo
