It was supposed to be a good day. Then came the annoying sound of her orange alarm clock, right next to her ear, reminded her that she had a job.

She pulled the white sheets over her head trying to get rid of the guilt. Suddenly the bed felt so silky and soft and taste of sleep was sweeter than ever.

...

She was in trouble.

10 unread messages from Hazel, her only friend at work, was flowing on her phone screen like a torture.

She immediately got out of her bed and ran to the little bathroom of her apartment.

A huge mess looked back at her on the big shiny mirror. Her blonde hair styled by her pillow last night formed the perfect outfit with her baggy blue T-shirt and don't forget the best eye makeup ever, the dark circles.

After quickly freshening up, she literally ran to her wardrobe. Fortunately her traditional 10 minute marathon was over and she was finally ready to go, like always there was no time for breakfast.

She quickly climbed down the old marble ladders of the building her flat was at and 2 minutes later she had already jumped into her white ancient Volkswagen Beetle.

For a second she didn't want to think about  how much trouble she was in

For a second she didn't want to think about  how much trouble she was in. There was no way to avoid it she could only face it and get over it.

And with that being said she and her amazing music taste were ready to hit the roads of Paris, finally.

The next hour was a blur. Although she was ashamed of her irresponsibility at first she didn't even realize what came into her she was literally blinded by her fury that somehow she found the courage to speak up to her boss.

Only to regret afterwards.

Her boss was mad because she arrived at the cafe late but to her unluck that day, the least understanding and humane woman on Earth had decided to drink her morning coffee in their café as if only to ruin their lives.

The woman kept sending waiters and waitresses back never feeling satisfied with what was brought to her without a reason and her behaviours were thought to be shameful by the other customers, Ella could tell from their faces cause nobody dared to say a word, because she also talked loudly in a way that proved she was probably oblivious to a notion called "kindness."

Long story short, Ella was the first one who dared to speak, well she admitted she was a bit harsh but the customer was not right.

And presumably her boss was on the customer's side. So at the end of the day, well first hour, Ella a mere waitress at the café was kicked out.

She felt even more furious, ashamed, disappointed, it was unfair.

After a couple minutes of inhaling and exhaling though, she felt relieved.

Free.

Yes, she was now jobless. She was no longer obligated to go to that café again.

The little money she earned for tough times could only help her live for a short amount of time.

But that was an issue to worry about tomorrow.

Today she was gonna pretend to be the person she dreamed about becoming while in college. She was gonna be the aspiring writer and watch the city with the eyes of an artist, discover the streets she never had the chance to go.

She was again sitting in her ancient car.

She freed her hair from the high ponytail and let her blonde curls fall down to her shoulder, adjusted the mirror, refreshed her red lipstick and wore her black sunglasses, set her phone on silent and turned up the radio.

"Baby I don't need dollar bills to have fun tonight
I love cheap thrills
Baby I don't need dollar bills to have fun tonight
I love cheap thrills
I don't need no money as long as I can feel the beat."

She sang at the top of lungs as if she was on stage with Sia herself,  under the sunny skies. And she could definitely feel herself getting out of control; driving as fast as she could, going as far as she could.

Her heart knew where she needed to be.
