The dark creature has known this world like the back of his hand.
He lifted his amber eyes to the sky and focused until his irises started burning in flames.
Soon the clouds started colliding, the fairytale like sunshine could no longer reach the tall trees and the rain started to pour down.
I could find them in the blink of an eye, he thought whilst watching Ella and Henry riding far away, behind his shield of invisibility.
His lips curved upwards evilly. Finally he had the perfect circumstances to continue with his plans.
He closed his eyes. He could feel them changing colour with the effect of dark magic running through his veins.
He had the ability to appear in anywhere he visualized in his mind. A lightning stroke from far away and soon the powerful sound of it graced his ears. He inhaled the dangerous energy carried within the wind that hit his dark cape.
He could easily get used to the addicting feeling of strength he had in this world. But he had to pull himself together before losing control over his own actions whilst trying to gain control of others.
He slowly opened his eyes and looked at his shining dagger one last time.
Blood needed to drop from the lethally sharp tip of his dark instrument.
And he didn't have much time.

Isabella woke up shortly before dawn with the sound of thunder, her window had been opened by a sudden gush of wind.
Her huge, cold, marble room was pitch dark with her fragile candles no longer burning.
The darkness of her ceiling high above made her feel like she was being suffocated by an invisible dark force. She quickly straightened and lit up the candle on the side of her bed and slowly approached the door.
"As long as I have the light no harm can reach me." She repeated. Her thoughts were naive for the first time in her life in which she had needed a cunning mind to survive.
She was alone. Her maid had been probably fast asleep yet she could sense the presence of a stranger. She turned around, trying to protect her candle from being put out, when a sudden light filled the room.
There was nobody.
She felt relief, it was just lightning. She decided to go back to bed.
She tossed and turned for what felt like centuries however the last drop of sleep had flown far away with the never ending sound of the pouring rain.
For a moment she thought walking would be a good idea. The palace was huge afterall, she could walk inside the long halls and clear her mind easily. There were guards everywhere nothing would happen, or so she thought.
In the blink of an eye she was out of her room. The guards weren't there. It didn't make her feel uneasy because there was nobody she had to give an explanation to. She felt free and kept on going down the hallway.
At least there were torches everywhere. It wasn't as dark as her room.
All of a sudden, she heard the sounds of two people. As they approached she saw them more clearly.
