Chapter 2

Hiro's POV

"Darling....Come here, let's play together. *laugh* "

"You're running too fast."

"Darling, you're weak. *laugh* "

"What are these....? Dreams....? Nah...it look too real to be dreams.", I mumbled as I saw another vision.

"Darling, this is for you.", the little girl said as she took out a thing that resembled a bracelet.

"Promise we'll be married to each other when we grow up, right?"

"Yes that's a promise, Ze----"

The dream sequence stopped, I slowly opened my eyes, stared at the slightly stain white ceiling, wondered about the dreams or memories I just had.

I looked around and saw Goro is reading a book while Ichigo is staring outside of the window while Zero Two stood beside the door opposite of me. Then I realized I'm in the medical room of my school.

"Hey...", I weakly said. Both Goro and Ichigo rushed towards me as they thought I'm already dead.

"Hiro, thank god you're okay...", Ichigo said as she sat down beside my bed.

"Yeah, you're already blackout for 5 straight hours.", Goro said as he sighed in relief. Both of them smiled at me as Ichigo turned her attention to Zero Two.

"Zero Two! what happen during that time? What do you do to him? What is your intention?", she said as she get emotionally angry.

"Ichigo, calm down.", Goro said as he held her back. "Let's Hiro explain, okay?", he said as she reluctantly agreed.

"We kinda have lunch on the rooftop and a sudden headache knocked me out, that's it. Zero Two didn't do anything and by the way, thank you for bringing me down here, Zero Two.", I said as she gave me a little smile.

"I apologize for my behavior earlier and I appreciate you bring Hiro to this place.", she said as she bowed down to Zero Two.

"It's okay.", she cheerfully replied.

"It's getting late, time to go home, Ichigo.", Goro said as he brought Ichigo her bag. "Oh yeah Hiro, be careful when you go home."

"Yeah I will.", I said as they leave afterwards, leaving me and Zero Two alone. I slowly sat up as I looked outside, the sun is almost gone at the horizon.

"You have a bunch of nice friends, especially the blue hair one, just she's kinda bossy.", she said as she leaned against the wall.

"Well...it can't be helped since she's the student council president.", I replied.

"Oh...president huh?", she said as silence soon filled the room.

"You know what, from the place where I come from, I've been called by all sorts of names, monster, demon, weirdo, you name it. *sigh*"

"You're the first person who are willing to talk with me. I'm glad.", she stood before me as her smile made my heart skipped a beat.

"Enough talking, time to go home.", she said as she get her bag. "So see you tomorrow, Hiro.", I waved as she slowly closed the door.

After she leave, I got up and packed up my bag and I saw Zero Two get onto a car before it drove away to unknown location. I pulled out my phone from my pocket and saw tons of missed call and messages from my foster parents.

"Hello...?", I called back one of the missed call.

"Hiro! Thank goodness, I heard that you fainted. If something happen to you, I don't know how to explain it to your parents.", my foster mother, Mrs Ryouko said in a fairly panic tone.

"I'm okay now and you already know it, my parents are already dead."

"Hiro, they are just MIA. They'll be back one day for sure."

"Ryouko-san, it's already 10 years...."

"Okay okay, just stop right here, you need to take care of yourself more and don't overworked yourself, okay?"

"Yeah yeah, I know. I'll make sure to visit you two at Hokkaido when I'm free. Bye."

"Bye, take care."

I walked out of the school gate, went towards my rental home. During the journey back home, I slowly remembered back the time with my original parents, 10 years ago...before they went missing.

"*sigh* Why do I think about that..."

I pulled out my keys, unlocked the door, threw everything aside and just dropped dead on my bed.

"*groan* What a tiring day.", I got up from my bed and have a shower. I sar before my desk, tried to finish my homework. Then my phone got a notification, I picked it up and saw Ichigo is calling me.

"Hello, Hiro?"

"What's the matter, Ichigo?"

"Just call you to make sure you're alive or not."

"That's mean...."

"Just kidding, ermm....Hiro...she's not mad with me...right?"

"You mean Zero Two? No she's not."

"Thank God I thought I messed up, I just to befriend with her."

"Lucky to you."

"Okay, I won't bother you anymore, go get some rest."

"Okay, bye.", I hang up the call, threw my phone aside and proceeded to finish my homework. Some time later, I lied on my bed, just thought about what happen earlier, what caused my headache in the first place.

"Zero Two.", that's the first thing I thought about.

"Just who are you...Zero Two...?"
