Chapter 5: Pretending

Mackenzie's POV: Yesterday on Saturday I spent the day at my penthouse working out the renovations with the builders. I decided because the game room is huge I will make the music room small and split it to make another bedroom upstairs. Downstairs I am removing one bedroom so the dining space bigger. Today the senators are coming to make the adjustments to the penthouse, all they have to do is add a wall, knock down four walls and soundproof the music room after the wall thing, after the renovations, I am bringing all my things in. The elevator door opens.

Johnny: Hey!

Mackenzie: Hi Johnny

Johnny: The renovators are coming today right?

Mackenzie: Yeah, where are the rest?

Lauren, Nadia & Carson: HI!!!!!

Mackenzie: Hey!

Nadia: This place looks big already!

Carson: Johnny told me you paid 20 million dollars to buy this place

Mackenzie: that is true, is it nice enough for how much I bought it for

Nadia: Definitely 

Mackenzie: Come on I'll show you around 

Nadia's POV: Mackenzie shows us the kitchen, the movie room, upstairs and the balcony. For a girl like her. It looks like a house. Unfortunately, we could not see the whole penthouse since there is renovating happening. But it will be finished tonight according to Mackenzie. We go to the kitchen where Johnny and Lauren are eating.

Carson: We are back! 

Lauren: Did the penthouse come with the furniture?

Mackenzie: Yeah, but I had to cover it with plastic so the dust from the renovating won't go on it and make it dirty.

Nadia: Okay, well it is nice! Promise you will show us the final product when it is finished

Mackenzie: Yeah promise

*Mackenzie looks at her watch*

Mackenzie: Oh It's 11: 20 am already! I have to go downstairs to get the renovating manager... I also have to cover for more furniture! I have so much to do.

Johnny: Carson and I can go to the reception to get the person... can't she come up though?

Mackenzie: She doesn't have the  scanner to let her go up the elevator like you do

Johnny: Oh okay then, what is her name?

Mackenzie: She just texted me she is just sitting on the reception couch, I'll just tell her that you are picking her up to go up to the penthouse.

Carson: Let's go, bro

Johnny's POV: We go down the elevator and Carson and I see this girl in the reception lounge. We can only see the back of her head but there is no one else there so I walk next to her she is just looking down on her phone. 

Johnny: Hey are you the renovating manager for Mackenzie Ziegler?

???'s POV: That voice sounds familiar

*??? looks up at Johnny*

???: Yeah I -... Johnny?

Johnny: Kimberly?

Kimberly: Johnny

Johnny: Kimberly

Carson's POV: This is going to be awkward! Kimberly and Johnny... OH NO! They use to date, for 2 years but then they broke up because Kimberly got a better job than Johnny. May the Awkwardness begin!
