TRIGGER WARNING ⚠️ DEATH/SUICIDE
After what seemed forever, Race gained back partial consensus. He sighed a breath of relief for that he was still alive. He slowly starts to stand up, but winces once he added weight onto his right leg. Hissing in a breath, he clenched his jaw and bared the pain. Race's vision slowly started to adapt due to the dim lighting that was produced from a single flickering light bulb. He could see a short boy sitting in a corner, slumped over himself, not moving. Race cautiously limped over to him, "Hello?" He asked a few feet away from the boy, "R....?" The mysterious boy asked. Race only heard the "R" part of what he said, "What?" He asked taking a few more steps towards, "Race?" The boy mumbled while lifting his head up to face Race, "Spot?" Race whispered under his breath, unconvinced that the boy was his lover.
His face was swollen with two dark circles consuming his eyes. His arms had gashes oozing fresh and dried blood down to the next cut. His clothing was torn, blood soaked, and was not going to pass as an outfit after today. Race limped over to Spot and fell to his knees in front of him, "Spot, I...I am sorry." He started crying while staring at his boyfriend's beaten body. Race crawled beside Spot and began to wrap his arms around him, his right arm around his shoulders and the other one around Spot's waist. While tears began also streaming down Spot's face, he rested his head on Race's shoulder, "Race, I love you so much." He whispered, still sobbing, "I love you too, Spot." Race said. The couple sat there in pain and agony for hours until they heard foot steps coming down the steps, "Race," Spot said shooting his head up after noticing the noise, "Yeah?" Race said still relaxed, "Run."
"What?" Race asked shooting his head up, but not letting go
"Let me go and hide." Spot sad with urgency and fear filing his voice. He tried to squirm out of Race's grasp, but was too weak to leave, "No."
"Why?" Spot said still moving around
"If my father sees us he'll give up on trying to separate us." Race said tightening his grip,
"Well, well, well." Race's father said from the shadows causing both boys to snap their necks to the corner of the room in fear, "Trouble in paradise huh?"
"What's it to you?" Race asked confidently, maybe a little too confidently,
"Only everything." Race could feel his father's goon's stares pierce him, "Get the other one." His father commanded, still in the corner like a coward. Spot sank further into Race's chest as the goon's foot steps inched closer Spot started gripping onto Race like a child clinging to a parents leg in public. Race made a silent promise to Spot that he wouldn't let him go without a fight.
Spot screamed in pain and agony while the goons forcefully pulled his broken legs away from Race, he could feel his grip loosening. For one split second the world shutdown and Spot looked Race dead in his eyes, "I love you so much. Live ya life Higgins." And he let go. Race screamed as Spot was dragged upstairs. He tried standing but he was restrained by two more goons, "Kill me instead!" Race kept yelling in an endless loop. He stopped when he felt a punch pierce his side, "But this is was more fun." His Father replied, and he clapped his hands loudly.
After a few seconds a gun shot went off. Race's heart dropped, "You, you killed him." Race said while holding back tears, "Yes I did." His father said, "Now. You can either become a spy for me to betray you're friends, or die."
His father slid a gun across the floor, "You're choice." The goons dropped him and walked upstairs along with his father.
Race paced around the room with the gun still sitting in the same spot for hours now, "What's left to live for? Spot's dead and betrayal will be worse."
Hours passed until Race eventually came to a conclusion, he picked up the loaded gun, clicked on the draw, and held it up to his head, "Sorry boys. I have to do this." And pulled the trigger.
