"Where the heck are you?"

He blasted through the phone. My eardrums almost tore off. My heart probably relocated somewhere in the vicinity of my neck or just got lost somewhere.

"Me?"

"No, your grandmother."

He said and I could picture himself reprimanding me with his arms crossed over his chest.

"Um, what?" I asked innocently.

"I've had people combing out the streets of Edinburgh and seems to be your happily settled in London?"

"What else do you want me to do?"

"Stay where you are and I'll come there by six in the evening." He said as if it's the most correct thing to do.

"You can't force me into shit"

"Don't you dare raise your voice," He spoke softly but with full grudge and hatred.

"I'm staying where I am and you stay where you are. No one is patching up again." I told and was almost about to cut the phone as something struck me.

"Um, by the way, did you open the box which I gave?" I asked hoping for a yes and hoping he would change.

"W-what box?. Oh, I'll see when I have time."

I knew this.

I felt a lump forming down. He didn't even have time to open a small box which would cost him no more than three minutes.

"Okay. I have to go," I told trying hard to stop my voice from breaking.

"And everyone in the family knew you were leaving except me? Is it like all we're trying to hide this from me?" I heard him pushing something from the other line. Probably some crystal vase.

"It's not like that Zahran. Please, will you let me explain...I need a break from you. It's not like we're married for years and got bored with the entire wedding. But I need to leave you, we're not right together, And I'm not even myself around you. Maybe we're completely different souls trying to match each other. I don't even like the way you treat me, you don't even see me as your wife.
Not even once you have listened to me nor you gave me a chance to talk to you," I stopped reaching for the tissues.

"What do you mean I've never listened to you? I love you more than anyone else but still, you were the one who distanced yourself from me. Moreover, You even feel disgusted to share the bed with me even after so many days of marriage."

He sounded irritated and aggravated just because we still didn't consummate our marriage but he clearly didn't even bother about my sudden decision to leave him.

"You still haven't told me about my Mums' death. You still haven't told me from when on you had lupus. You are still hiding anything and everything from me. What do you think I am? A stone? I'm also a human being but right now I feel like an emotional wreck. I miss you like as if we're separated for an eternity but then still my mind is not ready to live with you again. Please don't disturb me from now onwards. Leave me alone and don't even come to London to drag me back like an adamant child, now that we're done and never getting back together!"

With that, I threw my phone with my heart hammering at my ribs.
Wow. Spilling the beans is much easier than hiding and acting like him.

Talking to him after my escape was such a piece of cake. Maybe a piece of cake with extra whipping cream. But then still I knew I couldn't get over him just that fast.

I tried to get his image off my mind; But just then it became more clearer, His stark angular face, His eyebrows almost creased all the time. To top it, all those mysterious dark ones, I mean those black ones, His eyes which say love me, or I kill thee. By Jove! I was falling for him again.
