Mariam
I woke up by someone throwing their legs on me. It was him of course,
I sighed as I got up and sat facing the couch where my cat had dozed off peacefully.
The room was dark with only the lights coming from outside, the curtains swaying lightly. The tik-tok of the clock. I heard slight snores from him, it was cute though.
His long curly lashes rested on his cheek, His lips slightly parted, He fell asleep with his track pants exposing his Calvin Klein waistband. His chest and the rest of his body chiselled to perfection.
A stubborn strand of hair fell to his forehead and he scrunched his nose in discomfort.
I pushed his hair off his forehead and he caught my wrist and turned to his side and rested his cheeks on the top of my hands, I can't move now or else I'll be waking him up. I stayed like that watching him in his serene sleep, and I slowly removed my hands and he shifted slightly.
I couldn't sleep even though he was near, it felt like he was just talking bluntly to me after our wedding and staying at a new place with him is even more haunting, maybe I'll just get used to it.
"Hey, Why are you awake?" Zahran murmured huskily and got up from his side and rested his sleepy face on my lap.
I chuckled as his warm breath tickled my skin over the skinny t-shirt I was wearing.
"I asked you something," He spoke in a low deep voice.
"Oh nothing just like that," I whispered enough for him to hear.
"Are you okay?" He asked his black eyes drilling into mine.
"Yes I'm okay just getting used to it," I said staring at each and every feature of his.
"Okay, I hope you like everyone at home?" He asked and snuggled closer into my stomach.
"Masha Allah they are very kind" I smiled looking away from him.
"I'm glad you like them!" He beamed back at me.
I excused myself and went to the couch to sit there for a while, I wasn't comfortable to hug and sleep in the same bed with him, we need time.
He looked at me and turned back and dozed off. Something towards him felt different it seemed like he was hiding something from me.
His pupil at the centres of his iris was enough to tell that.
I wish he would be the same as he was before when we loved each other...we still love, I hope.
Slumber took over me as I was about to fall asleep on the couch. I felt warm lips brush my forehead and move a strand of hair from my face. I smiled and closed my eyes drifting into my beauty sleep.

"Wake up please you haven't eaten anything since last night." I felt two arms shaking me slowly.
"Mmhm" I could only murmur, I was way too tired. Doing nothing.
"MARIAM!" He screamed slightly. Is he mad?
"What's wrong Zahran?" I asked removing his hands from my stomach.
"What the Jahannam is going on?" He shook me again.
"You're bleeding!" He said making me sit.
And then reality hit me hard. I had got my holidays for prayers.
I smacked my forehead in embarrassment. His two pristine stones of onyx-like eyes widened with worry.
"What is this?" He almost screamed. Doesn't he even understand? how come he got a degree in medicine?
