Malé. We finally reached the capital of Maldives. That place was so beautiful. So surreal. The place gave such good vibes that I could forget all the tension about Jonathan and him coming back into our lives. Maldives was absolutely amazing.
"This place is beautiful!" Dev said as he was loading all the suitcases on the ferry. He too was so into the beauty of the place just like me. "I swear... Once all of this Jonathan shit gets over and we get married.... We will come here for honeymoon."
"Dev! Seriously we aren't even done with this matter and you are already dreaming about marriage."
"Why not? We are made for each other. See even after so many years we yet again met each other." He said as he helped me board the ferry. We were going to the resort island where Dev had booked our stay. Can you believe it there are 160 resort islands in Maldives. An island for each resort. You get a complete island to yourself. And for a vampire like me.... I would choose a place like this which had the least inhabitants.
"Well that's what is Raabta! We have that connection that keeps us together." I said sat beside him as the ferry surfed through The Indian Ocean and took us close to our destination. Our hair flew by the winds. His hands ran through my waist and pulled me closer to him.

Once we reached the resort, we were welcomed by a bellboy. The resort was a bunch of houses connected with a wooden bridge. The bridge ended at the white sand beach. It was beautiful and was exactly the way Dev was saying all this while. He really acted like a small kid excited about a vacation. He somewhere was carefree about the fact that we have something much more to do here. The bellboy took us to our house. Surprisingly the entire resort seemed quite empty. Hardly could I see anyone else apart from the people who worked there. Strange it is.
"I am tired as fuck!" Dev said plopping on the bed as the I closed the door after the bellboy left. The house had a bedroom, a mini kitchen, a mini bar counter and a swimming pool outside. I really wished this a vacation so that I could enjoy every part of this but for I have so much to do.
"Take rest Dev. After all we need to get back to Malé in the evening and search Carolyn. We will definitely get some clues there."
"Is Carolyn still alive?"
"Dev.... She is a vampire. A vampire can be killed only by a few. So if John has come back to our lives, Carolyn definitely has some connection."
"How will we find her?"
"There's a girl called Elena. She's my friend and she too is a vampire."
"And how can she help us?"
"She has a lot of contacts. Don't worry about that she will however figure out where Carolyn is. "
"But Sonakshi.... What are we gonna do once we find Carolyn?"
"Dev, years ago john used me to separate us. Now we are gonna use Carolyn to ruin their lives." My eyes flickered thinking about how their lives gonna change. I have never thought bad for anyone else but these two were the people I hated the most. I had always wished to ruin their lives the way they ruined mine. I am gonna make them feel what I felt all these years.
"You sound so evil." He said faking fear. Such a terrible actor was he.
"I can be so much more evil to you." I said strangling him and sitting on his abdomen. I ran my fingers over his body. His face turned pale in seconds.
"Stop Grinding, Sonakshi." He said. His breathes erratic and uneven. I couldn't help but laugh on his state.

"Where are we going?" dev asked as we walked down the street of old vintage houses, after we reached Malé that evening.
"Elena's house. Her house has to be somewhere here." I said trying to remember which house belonged to her. "Here it is." I exclaimed once I found myself standing on the porch of her house. The house was dim-litted and had that an antique effect on its design. I moved forward and knocked on the wooden door. The door opened with a screech and my favourite face appeared behind it. Her face lightened with joy. "Sonakshi!" she jumped in excitement and engulfed me in her arms. While Dev stood behind watching us without bothering us until Elena noticed him.
"Umm.... Ele he is Dev. You know.... " I left the sentence in the air wishing for her to catch on. I really wished that she could figure out who he really was and I did not had to tell her the entire story.
"Oh yeah.... Your husband!" Idiot! She's a complete idiot. Why did she had to say that.
"Well.... Not yet!" he said smirking. 'not yet'? he's got a lot of confidence.
"Well considering the fact that you still aren't divorced. You too are married." Elena grinned as she told her logic.
"Ele.... He is Dev. Not Ratan." I said making it clear.
"whatever it's the same thing."
" Elena will you stop your nonsense I have come here for something." I said rolling my eyes at her.
"Oh sure! Come in." We stepped into her house. The footsteps echoed as it hit the wooden floor. We moved into her hall when I noticed a manly figure in the kitchen. He walked out as he heard us entering inside.
"Vicky!" Dev said shocked as if he knew him. It seemed as if he definitely wasn't expecting him to be there. But how did he know him?
"Oh you know him.... He's my boyfriend." Elena said surprised over the fact that Dev already knew him.
