The team left to go on a mission hours ago leaving myself and Bucky here,and during these few hours he moved into Natasha's place downstairs and is now out shopping with me for nursery things such as cribs and a changing table.
"What do you think? I say gender neutral nursery myself." I say as I look at paint colors.
He nods"Sounds like a plan."he agrees staying close to me looking around.I pick a color and everything I need for the nursery and pay extra for same day delivery. Once we leave we pick up takeout and head back to the tower to find everything already there. WE eat lunch and I begin to pain as Bucky assembles the furniture music playing in the background as we do.
Steve's POV
We are all on the jet heading to a safe house and I'm thinking back to the vision I had feeling guilty because it was about Peggy. I never told anyone,but back then I had a thing for Peggy until I found out her sister was my soulmate. Once we land we all walk to a house on what looks like a farm.
Thor speaks up"What is this place?"
"A safe house?" Tony suggest.
"Let's hope." Clint says as he enters us behind him."Honey, I'm home." Clint calls into the house. and we see a heavily pregnant woman walk from the kitchen.
"HI. Company. Sorry I didn't call ahead." he says as he kisses the woman.
"She's an agent of some kind." Tony says to Thor.
"Gentleman,this is Laura my wife." Clint introduces.
"I know all of your names." she says and we look at her awkwardly as two children run and hug Clint shouting dad.
"These are...smaller agents."Tony says reaching for an explanation. the little girl rushes and hugs Nat.
"Sorry for barging in on you." I say gently.
"Yeah, we would have called ahead, but we were busy having no idea that you existed."Tony snarks.
"Yeah, well Fury helped me set this up when I joined. He kept it off SHIELD's files, I'd like to keep it that way. I figure it's a good place to lay low."Clint explains and everyone nods. Thor leaves saying something about needing answers and I stay quiet Peggy's voice haunting my head.
We end up spending the night Peggy's voice haunting me and guilt washing over me. THe next day we leave to go to Dr. Cho.
Evelyn's POV
I am pacing the compound worried out of my mind since they haven't come back from mission. I hear doors open and look up seeing the team arrive with the twins. The boy smiles at me"Hello again little mama." he greets me kissing my hand.
Steve growls"Paws off." he wraps his arms around me. I look up at Steve"That's not nice Steve he was being nice." I warn before taking The twins with me.
"So,what are your names?" I ask.
"I'm Pietro and this is my twin Wanda." he says smiling.
"You two must be hungry. Let me cook for you." I say bringing them to Steve and I's place.
"Why are you being nice?" Wanda ask.
I move hair from her face"Because everyone deserves a someone to be kind and look after them. And I have a feeling it won't be any of them." I say gently.. I give them clothes and let them shower while I cook.
Steve enters looking upset"Why are you helping them?"
"Because they aren't bad kids. They are just alone and need some guidance." I reply.
"I don't want them here near you." he replies.
"Then leave! I'm not going to let them go now you accept that or you leave." I scold.
He turns walking out leaving me alone with my thoughts.
