~(Y/N)'s P.O.V.~

We eventually found an old community pool that was abandoned, along with a small ghost town. I found the pool appealing, but Jordan wanted to explore the rest of the area.

"Guys, it's a fucking ghost town!" Jordan argued. "I have to go in it!"

I wanted to argue back but the second I opened my mouth, Logan covered it with his hand.

"Go. We'll be in the community pool. I expect you back before midnight," Logan instructed.

Jordan smiled happily and skipped off into the ghost town. I looked up at Logan who still had his hand on my mouth. Logan looked down at me and winked, giving me a seductive grin. I pushed his hand away and shook my head as I walked into the community pool.

The building was awful on the outside but the second I walked in, everything looked like it was just dusty and not clean. The floors were all together; a few cracks here and there. The ceilings were an orange color, with rusty pipes in view. The booth to buy passes for the day was still up and the glass had minimal cracks in it, which surprised me the most.

We headed into the pool area, where the pool had been covered with a tarp that had leaves and dirt all over it. I walked over to the wall with some switches.

"Damn, this pool cleaner has been on the whole time! And it's still functional!" I exclaim.

I hear Logan chuckle as he looked around. I turned back to the switches and pressed the one for the tarp cover. Slowly, the tarp opener hummed to life and the tarp pulled away, exposing a clean and clear pool.

"Bet ya it's full of chlorine bleach," Logan says. "There's no way this could be so clean after all this time. Even with the cleaner."

I shrug and walk down the side of the pool, watching as the tarp pulls away.

"It's been years since I've been to a pool.  Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever been in a pool," I say as we walked down the side of the pool. "I always chose to stay out and sit on the side."

Logan came over to me and wrapped his arms around my wait from behind, laying his chin on my shoulder. I felt a tingling feeling run down my leg and up my spine as he gently massaged my shoulder with his chin.

"May I help you?" I ask.

Logan chuckles and holds me tighter.

"(Y/N), I need you to promise me something," Logan sad in a low voice.

I furrowed my brow, confused. "Okay? What is it?"

Logan let me go and walked around me, looking at me straight in the eyes. He wasn't a very tall person but with me being shorter than him, he had to look down at me. I felt like a child.

"Whatever happens, I need you to always trust me and trust that I would never hurt or lie to you. I need you to promise me that you'll never leave me. Do you understand? Can you promise me that?"

I looked at Logan with a pang of guilt, knowing that someday one of us will get hurt or worse, we'd turn on each other. I didn't know how to respond, whether I'd cry or whether I'd get angry, all I knew was that he took me off guard by asking me to promise him something I didn't know if I could keep.

"I-I don't know how to respond. We don't even know if we, as a team, could keep this promise. Something could happen to us, something could happen to you or me or Jordan! I don't want to be put into a position where my promise couldn't have been kept, whether it be my fault or not at all," I confess.

Logan's face displayed the saddest look I had ever seen in my life. He didn't seem angry, nor did he seem happy with my answer, he just seemed, sad.

"I guess what I'm trying to say, Logan," I say, grabbing his attention once again. "Is, yes, I promise, but if there's something that happens to any of us that makes either you or I break this promise, we can't dwindle on the fact that we broke the promise."

Logan sat there, looking at me with such glossy eyes, I thought he would begin to cry, but he took me surprise and pulled me close, capturing my lips in his.

The way he kissed me made me feel so many different emotions. At first, I was shocked and then I was nervous and then I was confused but they all resulted in a soothed, calm, and safe feeling.

So, I did what any other stupid girl would do, I kissed him back.

"Jesus, I go and explore a ghost town to come back and find y'all sucking faces," Jordan interrupted us.

Logan pulled away from me and looked at Jordan. "You know, bub, you're a real pain sometimes."

"Bub? Who calls people bub?" Jordan asked.

"Me," Logan replied.

Jordan scoffed and rolled her eyes. She then took off into a sprint, straight at us and shoved us both into the pool. The rush of cold water made me tense up. I was not expecting that and worse, these are the only clothes I had.

When I resurfaced, Logan was swimming after Jordan trying to get a hold of her. Jordan was swimming away, laughing and calling mercy. I laughed.

So this is what a pool feels like. It was cold but the longer I was in it and the more I moved, I got warmer. It kind of felt like I was in space. Like the time I died.

I shook those thoughts away and pulled myself up and out of the water. As I stood on the side of the pool, the cold breeze that entered in from the windows engulfed my wet soaking body and immediately began to shiver. Immensely.

So much for the first time in a pool.
