(Recap: Peter showed up at the Avengers Compound for the weekend with a black eye from Flash and the team saw it. Enjoy web-heads.)

"What happened to your face," Natasha asked suspiciously, trying to get a better look under Peter's hood.

"N-Nothing," he stuttered, suddenly nervous. Peter wasn't afraid for himself, but rather what the Avengers would do to stupid Flash if the teenager told them.

Sam raised an eyebrow. "It looks like something."

Peter sighed and brought his hood back. There was no hiding it when a team of super heroes were all staring at you in silence. In fact, it was a bit intimidating. When they caught sight of his black eye, they all turned serious.

"What happened?" Tony demanded, stepping forward.

Peter gulped. "I tripped?"

He raised a sarcastic eyebrow. "Was that a question or an answer?"

"Answer," Peter squeaked.

"We all know what it looks like when someone gets punched, Pete," Bucky said softly.

"Did you get it as Spider-Man?" Tony wondered, but corrected himself. "Well if you got it last night it would already be healed and I told Happy to get you straight from school."

"You can tell us the truth, son," Steve had stood up and crossed his arms worriedly.

Peter sighed through his nose, seeing he was cornered. "It was just some stupid kid. It's fine though, like Mr. Stark said, I'll be good as new by tonight."

"Pete, that's not the point," Tony cut in sympathetically. "Why didn't you tell us you were getting bullied?"

"I can handle it," Peter assured them.

"Have you beat the other kid up yet?" Clint gave him a look. The spider's silence was enough of an answer for him. "Why not?"

"I'll do it for him," Natasha growled threateningly, a random dagger slipping from her sleeve.

Scott looked at the knife, then back at her. "Do you just carry those everywhere?"

"Yes, she does," Bruce supplied.

Peter shook his head vigorously, waving his hands. "No, no, it's fine! Seriously, I can take care of Flash."

"So," Wanda mused, accent kicking in. "His name is Flash."

Peter opened his mouth and closed it, realizing his mistake. The teenager mentally face palmed.

"I should think," Vision cut in, "that if Mr. Parker says he can handle it, we should trust him."

Natasha pursed her lips, thinking. "Hm. For now, maybe."

Wanda was already nodding in agreement. Of course she was, she always agreed with the Android, seeing as they were dating. Peter had thought it was weird at first, but then he realized that Vision was just as alive as any of them.

"Are you sure, Peter," Hope asked skeptically.

"Yeah," he said hurriedly. "A hundred percent."

Everybody stood around awkwardly until Steve clapped his hands and announced that they should get dinner started. It was nearly six, a bit earlier then they normally ate, but Peter was always hungry with his super fast metabolism. And the fact that he was a teenager and they were endless pits. Bruce and Steve pulled Bucky into the kitchen to help cook while the rest of the Avengers went to do their own thing. Nat and Clint were training, per usual along with Sam, Scott and Hope. Wanda had roped Vision into watching the Titanic with her. Rhondey went back to his room to read or something.

Only Tony remained, eyeing Peter suspiciously. "We are going to come back to this conversation."

Peter opened my mouth to say something, but they were interrupted by a certain god of thunder.

"Man of Spiders! When did you arrive?" He shouted, an amused look on his face.

Peter couldn't keep the grin off his face. Thor was in civilian clothes, but he was still obviously not normal with the twin swords on his back. It was still weird to see him with short hair, though it had been nearly two months since he had dropped off his entire kingdom in Greenland.

"Just now," Peter answered quickly as Thor envelopes him in a strong embrace that nearly choked the life out of the small boy. Forget punching his enemies. Thor could just crush them with his hugs. Or destroy them with his you-stole-my-pop-tarts-prepare-to-die glare.

"The Eye of the Hawk told me that he was to challenge you to a competition that only the bravest of warriors can complete," Thor said.

"He did?" Peter blinked in surprise. "What did he call it again?"

"The Cart of Mario."

A slow grin spread over Peter's face. "Tell him I accept his challenge.

"Is he asleep?" Nat whispered as Tony walked back to the kitchen where the rest of the Avengers were already gathered.

Tony nodded in affirmation.

"So," Sam started. "What was the point of this meeting and how come Spiderboy can't hear?"

"Yes," Thor agreed. "Why are we in the dining hall if not to eat, son of Stark?"

"Well, the kid has to go back to his aunt's tomorrow and the next day he has school, so..." Tony trailed off, expecting them to understand. All but Thor and Scott did. Clint especially looked eager.

"Yes," the archer pumped his fist. "This is going to be hilarious!"

"And we have to embarrass the hell out of Peter at the same time," Tony announced.

Steve looked on disapprovingly. "Tony."

The billionaire huffed. "Fine."

"What's the plan?" Wanda asked excitedly.

"Don't worry," Tony's grin slipped back onto his face. "I got it all figured out. First..."

Peter woke to his alarm and groaned. Another weekend with the Avengers: Over. Happy had dropped him off the day before. Now it was Monday again. He showered and got dressed hurriedly, making sure to stuff his suit in the extra compartment he had sewn in. His Aunt May was flipping burnt pancakes onto a plate. She smiled at him as he came in, shouldering his heavy backpack. He grabbed a few pancakes and quickly shoved them in his mouth, earning a raised eyebrow from his Aunt.

"Remember," she hugged him and planted a kiss on his head. "No patrolling until your homework is done."

"I know, May," he smiled at her.

He took a short cut on the way to school to narrow it down to ten minutes. He looked around quickly before hoping easily over a fifteen foot fence. It gave him a bit of exhilaration to use his powers. So when he got to school, he was in a good mood. That is until he sat down and the teacher cleared his throat to say:

"Good morning students. I have a very exciting announcement this morning. The famous Tony Stark has favored us with a special field trip to Stark Tower free of any fees. We had all classes canceled today as you should have read in your email last night. If you still need parent permission, feel free to call or text to verify. We will be leaving at 8:15, so be prepared."

Oh this can't be good.
