Akko's POV:
I was just finishing cleaning the boat when my boss, Amanda, showed up yelling and screaming bloody Rao. "AKKO?! IS THE BOAT SUITABLE?!" She screamed, running her way over to me. "Yea, just finished. Why?" "THE PRINCESS JUST ASKED FOR OUR SERVICES TO ESCORT HER TO AL ARISH!! THAT'S WHY!!" I started to panic, the Princess is asking for our services! "GET THE BOAT OUT AND MOVING NOW!!" " YES, SIR!" She likes to be called sir. I got out of the dock and headed to the palace. Once there, I went down to the boat quarters and got my crew, my best friends Lotte and Sucy.
I found them doing their normal things for when we had finished our duties or when we were waiting to arrive somewhere, Lotte is reading the latest Night Fall scroll/book while Sucy was sleeping. I went in silently and then banged one of the quarter's walls, which resulted in a grumpy Sucy and a scared Lotte. I laughed a little bit and told them that we had arrived. They got up from there positions and went up to the deck.
As we waited for the princess and her entourage, I began to think, I have never actually seen the princess. I don't even know her name. I started to panic but before I could do anything, Lotte patted my back and gave me a reassuring look. I breathed deeply and calmly waited for the princess.
After about ten more minutes, the princess and her entourage came. The guards came aboard and my crew pushed me forward towards the princess. I held my hand out and took the princess's hand, walking her over to her seat on the deck, then went back to sailing us to Al Arish. I looked down at the princess from my post, she was so beautiful. She was as beautiful as a lotus flower but as calm as the Nile itself. I called for Sucy to come to take her turn, while I take care of some of my duties around the deck, she groaned but did as asked.
I walked around the deck to see if anything needed cleaning. Lotte is always the first to finish her duties around the boat, so she was reading her Night Fall scroll, surprisingly with one of the princesses entourage members, I believe her name is Barbra. The other member is named Hannah and she was just studying the structure of the boat and how stuff works around here. Then there was the princess, I shifted my eyes towards her to see her staring out to the Nile.
I wanted to talk to her but I couldn't, I would only need a reason to talk to her. I went over and sat next to her, she didn't seem to mind so I stayed put. We sat in silence until she finally spoke the words, "How close are we to Al Arish?" She sounded polite and her voice was like a goddess. "By the goddess Hathor..." I mumbled. "What was that?" "I said we should be there in a day princess. Is that all you need?" She nodded slightly.
I turned around for a moment to see Lotte going for her turn to sail, while Barbra explored the boat with Hannah. It would soon be my turn for the night shift. I got up and bowed, " I'll inform you if anything changes princess." She nodded again and continued to look out to the Nile.
Diana's POV:
Everyone had gone to bed for the night, while I stayed on the deck and just watched the Nile. I rarely ever get to take trips like this, so when I do I take in the experience. Right now it was just the captain and me on the boat tonight, while the rest of our friends were sleeping.
"Hey, Princess!" I turned around and saw the captain waving at me. "Yoy wanna drive?" She asked. "No thank you it's quite alright," I responded. "Oh come on! I know you don't get to do this much! Have a little fun princess, I'll help you!" She encouraged. I guess it would be a nice experience. I got up from my seat, dusted off my dress, and headed up to the wheel.
"So, what is the first step?" "Okay, so first you're going to..." She then explained everything she knew about steering. I was amazed by how much she knew. I placed my hands on the wheel, a little shaken at first, but my hold turned firm once I felt the captains hands on mine. "I got you, princess." She said with a smile.
I blushed at her words and her touch. She was so confident and welcoming, adventurous and from watching her today I could say even a little reckless and clumsy. She is an amazing captain and a very cute girl. Wait... did I just say cute?
I started to space out a bit but was brought back by the captain's voice. "So whats your name anyway? I have never heard it and I don't want to keep calling you princess. So what's your name?" I looked down to the floor for a while and didn't say anything. "Well, my name is Akko. It's nice to make your acquaintance, princess." She said with a toothy smile. I smiled back and leaned back against her and relaxed. For the first time, in a long time I feel relaxed, something I haven't felt since I was charged with all these responsibilities.
She just made me feel so relaxed, I was weakened and falling for her. "Oh look, we are here." I looked out and saw Al Arish. Akko helped me park the boat and we woke up the crew and my friends. A chariot was waiting for us at the end of the dock, I didn't want to leave Akko's side so I asked her to walk me and my friends to the chariot. My friends got in first and I got in last, "We shouldn't be longer than two days, be ready for us and don't leave please." Akko nodded and kissed my hand, helping me into the chariot.
"Thank you captain Akko." "Your welcome princess." "Diana. My name is Diana." Akko smiled and waved to me a farewell. She is now my boat and I wont let her sink.
