Diana's POV:

It was the annual masquerade ball, everyone who's anyone is there. They had a rule, every girl would have to wear masks, while the boys wouldn't. I chose to be an angel for my costume, once I entered I got stares from everyone. I scanned the crowd, trying to find interesting "suitors." To be honest none of them were interesting. I found Andrew and his entourage and I said hi to them then continued my search.

I walked around aimlessly for a while until I saw her. The only girl with no dress or mask, but in a suit just fit for her. There was only one girl that would do this, my past lover, Akko Kagari. She was laughing and talking with her new friends until she glanced over at me. She then looked at me with a shocked look on her face. I got frightened as she started making her way towards me, I turned and made my way to the other room. I can't see her, not now.

Akko's POV:

I was just having a drink with my friends until, I glance over and see a beautiful angel dressed girl. 'She kinda looks like...' I thought for a moment and gave her a shocked look. 'It can't be...' I thought as I made my way too her, she bolted to a different room. I followed her going through the other entrance to the room.

I walked around looking for her, until I finally saw her. We both freeze as we stare at each other through the fish tank. She puts her hand on the glass, longingly, looking like she wanted to touch me but couldn't. She then shook her head and went out of the room. I followed hoping to catch her, but lost her instead. I headed to the balcony and massaged my head. 'It's can't be her... not after all these years.' I think as memories from the past flooded through my head. That was until I her voice above me, silently singing.

Diana's POV:

Memories from our past together start to pop up in my head. I remember the way she felt, how we kissed, how we made love when we could. I remember that we would always say that there wasn't enough time for us to spend together. We never wanted to part. I sighed putting my mask back on and heading back inside the party, to the dance floor sad, that we couldn't be like that again.

Akko's POV:

I climbed up to the balcony above me, only to find out she wasn't there any longer. I entered the party again and it felt like the whole place stopped the second I saw her on the dance floor. I rushed down the stairs, heart pounding with anticipation. Once on the floor the world resumed and people were dancing all around us, except for us.

Once we made our way to each other, I held out my hand. She stared at me with longing eyes as she took my hand, the world around us changed. It was just her and me, dancing together just like we used to when we were younger. Once we stopped dancing, I took off her mask and smiled. "I found you, my angel."

Diana's POV:

Those words brought me to the tears I have holding in since I saw her. I hugged her tightly, as she led us back up to the balcony. We sat down and I continued to cry. "I m-missed you s-so m-much." I tried to say through the sobs. She just soothed me, rubbing my back. "My Aunt made me... She was going to kill you if I... if I didn't..." I continued to sob. "I understand my angel, I do." Akko said, I look up and her and she wipes my tears away. "You are free correct?" I nodded in response. I left my aunt a long time ago. I have all my family's fortune because my parents knew better than to trust my aunt and cousins. "Then let's try again. I have searched for you, for so long. Now that I have found you, I feel whole again. Let's be like we were again. There's no one to break us apart this time. I'll make sure of that." Akko said in a protective tone, while looking straight into my eyes.

Tears swell up again and I kiss her passionately. I can feel the tears now running down Akko's face as she held me tightly, smiling into our kiss. I'm never letting her go again and no one will ever make me again. I'm her beautiful angel and she is my heaven.
