Akko's POV:

My name is Akko, and we are currently at war. I am the protector of the ambassador's niece, her name is Diana Cavendish. Now I may seem just like a normal protector, but I have a secret. This war is a war between the empire and the elves. And I am an elf.

My elf name is Scavenger, and I am the top elven spy in our system. I was sent to spy on the empire using my way of change to impersonate a human. Each elf has their own special abilities, mine I can change into anything even if it's imaginary or mythical, and I have elemental powers. My father happens to be the king of the elves, which grants me these special abilities.

Once undergoing my human training which I passed with flying colors, Diana got to choose her protector at the tournament. My peers fought well, but I was better, once we were all presented she picked me and I smirked at her accepting the position. What's closer to the ambassador? His niece.

"Akko could you come in here?" Diana asked, calling for me from inside her bedchambers. "Be right there." I turned around swiftly and checked my surroundings, then closed the door and locking it. Diana was sitting on her bed, in nothing but her silk robe, which I found highly attractive. She patted the bed, asking me to sit down next to her.

I sit down and she lays me down, setting her head on top of my chest. "How is my uncle?" She asks, playing with one of the buttons on my suit. "Still trying to figure out where the elves are hiding and how they keep getting their information." Diana chuckled but then grew silent. "Miss? Are you ok?" "I wish my uncle would understand elves, they can actually be kinda cute."

This caught me off guard, how does she know about elves? "What do you mean?" "Elves were never our enemies, they were our friends. Until one day a bad king decided we were soon going to attack, so the elves attacked first." Diana pauses, taking a deep breath before she continued. "I had an elven friend once, she was adorable. She would always change and do different things to amaze me, I knew she liked me and I loved her. But after the attack, we never saw each other again." Diana then quietly began to sob in my chest, I rubbed her back to comfort her. I didn't know what to think, but what she said sounds kinda familiar.

Diana's POV:

"But after the attack, we never saw each other again. Until now." I whispered that last bit, I knew Akko couldn't hear me. Yes, I know she is an elf and not just any elf, my elf. I would recognize her anywhere, she hasn't really changed. But it seems like she doesn't remember me, I chose her because I wanted to be close to her again and she has grown, attractive~.

I try to remind her, but it's like all the time we shared together means nothing and is completely forgotten. I continued to sob because I want my elf back, I need her back. I then heard knocking at the door, "Who is it?" I yelled. "Your uncle has a young general named Andrew. He wishes to meet with you." The guard yelled. I groaned but said I would be down, in a minute.

I slowly began to get up, but it was rather difficult because Akko was keeping me in my place. It was like she didn't want me to leave. "Akko... I have to go to my uncle, can you please help me get ready?" "Huh- Oh! Yes of course Miss." She responded letting me go and leaving me to get ready. Akko helped a little bit, by pulling up the zipper of my dress, and she also made sure I looked presentable.

I take what I can get from her nowadays. Akko put out her arm and I grabbed it, she then escorted me to the main study room, where my uncle was. Once we got there, I could tell Akko didn't like the look of Andrew. More importantly, her pointed ears and teeth began to appear, I had to calm her down. I slid my hand onto her ear and caressed it, which began calming her down, that's how I would always calm her when we were little.
