Jerika and How They Met- On Hold

Now you come back

 It is now 6 in the morning and Blake has just woken up to his daughters screams. He looks to the left of him and the bed is once again empty. Erika has been gone for 2 months and he has no idea where she is or what happened to her. 

" I'm coming baby girl." Blake says as he quickly climbs out of the bed and goes to Harper's room. He picks her up and changes her diaper as she cries. Ever since Erika left she has not taken a pacifier and cries every morning nonstop. She misses Erika so much and Blake can't do anything about it. The first 2 weeks of her being gone were hell. Blake had to wean her off of breastmilk and get her onto formula because Erika was no longer there to feed her. Harper spent days screaming because she had to drink it and wasn't gradually taken off of breastmilk when Blake ran out he had to give her formula. Blake and Erika's moms took turns helping Blake out with weaning her. They would take Harper to there houses and try to do it there since Erika's smell was associated with that house. She would drink it at their houses and then she would go back to Blake and would scream when he tried to give it to her. The doctors almost considered her a failure to thrive baby because she was losing weight because she wouldn't eat. Blake, and their two moms powered through and finally got Harper back up to her weight and a little over. It was still a daily struggle to her her to drink it but he managed. He didn't move for he feared that Erika would come back and he wouldn't be there. 

" ok baby girl lets go get you some food in that tummy" Blake picked crying harper up and walked downstairs. He made her a bottle and sat down on the couch to try to get her to drink some of it. She fought him for 10 minutes before she had drank the majority of the bottle. She had stopped crying so Blake put her in her high chair and mashed up a banana and some yogurt. He fed that to her until she had gotten full so he then cleaned her up and then brought her to the living room to play with her. She had learned to crawl over the last month and was a speedster when she wanted to be. Blake and Harper had ben playing in the floor for 15 minutes when the doorbell rang. He picked Harper up and walked to the door. He opened it to reveal his wife who left 3 months ago. 

" Hey Blake"Erika said as she looked at him and Harper.

" Erika........ what happened to you" Blake said as he stood in the door shocked to see her standing there. 

" I know I have a lot to explain but I'm back I promise and I'm not going anywhere." Erika said as tears started to fall from her eyes. Blake immediately pulled her in fora hug and they cried in the doorway for a few minutes before Harper started babbling getting their attention 

" Harper baby girl you've gotten so big. Oh my goodness......... can I hold her Blake" Erika said as she held Harper's hand. Blake nodded and passed Harper over to her. Harper immediately looked at Erika before she laid her head on her chest as if she was happy her mom was back home. 

" I am so so sorry baby girl I promised you I wouldn't go away and I did. This tie I'm not leaving you and that promise I can keep." Erika said as she kissed the top of Harper's head and just admired the fact that her baby girl was back in her arms.

" Erika come on get inside we need to talk after she goes to sleep in 2 hours." Blake said as he picks up her three bags. One of the m appeared to be a cooler so he was suspicious of what it was. 

" whats in the cooler" Blake said as he placed the bags in the living room as Erika and Harper were in the floor. 

" breastmilk... I knew I was coming back and didn't wanna stop breastfeeding so I pumped the whole time I was gone." Erika said as she tried to put Harper down but she cried to be picked back up

" she's not gonna let you out of her sight now. She knows who you are and is never gonna let you go." Blake chuckled at her 

" thats fine with me is that fine with you baby girl" Erika asked Harper as she responded by bailing back at Erika.  Erika and Blake each grabbed a bag and Erika held Harper a they walked upstairs and put the bags in the bedroom. Erika was Harper yawning signaling her that she was tired
