The group of Garrison students did not expect to witness Keith breaking into a government facility, let alone follow the Alpha in side. Once Lance realized Keith had found the other half of the alpha pair, he seemed to realize how serious the situation was.

The group of teenagers were now officially criminals. Helping Shiro escape from the government ended Lance's possibility of being a fighter pilot.

Once Keith had brought them to the shack, Lance took a moment to process.

He wondered what The Garrison thought about all of this. Were they looking for them? Did they know that they were the students involved?

No matter what The Garrison were doing, his dream of seeing space had been shattered. Too many things have gone wrong for the omega. He was abused for years by his family, treated as a slave. He was a failure and forced himself to live as a beta in an attempt to make something out of himself.

Lance had made up his mind; he refused to be an omega. Even though he had no reason to pretend anymore, he still needed an accomplishment, he needed something to be proud of. Lance felt that if he could keep this secret, he could keep at least some of his pride intact.

Keith was ecstatic to have Shiro back. After so long without his mate, yet knowing he was still out there somewhere crushed him. Everyone told him that Shiro was dead, only for Keith to bite his tongue to not share how he knew his beloved was alive.

That is why he never stopped looking. When he saw the space ship crash and The Garrison hurry to cover it up, he knew he needed to see what was going on.

Keith had been trying to find Shiro ever since he was declared dead yet his mating mark remained on his neck. He knew they weren't giving out the whole story. He found the kerberos mission's video tapes only to discover that they were taken, not killed due to complications.

He didn't know he was going to find his mate again, but he couldn't say he wasn't glad to. He could finally smell him, see him and touch him after a year of no contact. He felt starved of love. Keith personally felt that if the others weren't here with them, he wouldn't be leaving Shiro unfucked.

Shiro knew what Keith wanted, even with so much time apart, he could still read Keith like a book. The way Keith kept him close. The way he kept touching him. Shiro couldn't deny it; he felt the same way.

Sex was a very normalized part of society. It wasn't strange to see people performing heavy displays of affection in public. Sex was an instinct, if it had to happen, it just did.

The Alpha pair would have been all over each other if it weren't for the fact that they were two alphas. Omegas and Alphas showed possessive and sexual behavior all the time in public settings. Betas and betas as well. However, as said before, Shiro was not fond of his mate being lynched.

They needed to be alone together.

Shiro racked his brain for a good excuse to be left with his mate for a few hours, only to come up with a lame lie about needing eyeliner.

Knowing exactly what Shiro was thinking about, Keith spoke up, "Hey guys, um I was wondering if you guys could go and get some groceries from the store? I don't have a lot of food here. Go ahead and pick some stuff out, I'm going to hang back with Shiro, let him rest up you know? You might want to hurry up, the stores close down around 11:30."

The three betas shared a look before shrugging. They grabbed some cash from Keith before heading for the door.

"We'll be gone for an hour or two. Oh and use protection!" Pidge shouted followed by snickers from the other two.

"Really all you had to do was ask, mullet!" Lance smirked at the now red Alpha.

The scarlet Alpha stammered, " S-shut up you idiot!"

The omega swallowed hard at the Alphas words. He thought he wasn't all that bright but hearing it from an angry Alpha was never good for his self esteem.

Lance nodded sharply before shutting the shack door.

Shiro let out a sigh of relief before turning to Keith, "finally."

Shiro lunged at his mate, connecting their lips in a passionate kiss. He missed Keith and needed some sort of relief.

Keith moaned into the dominants mouth letting himself fall to submission. Shiro was the only one who saw him like this.

In packs, their is always a head alpha. Other alphas would submit and do as their head alpha would say to keep peace in a pack. Keith and Shiro knew one of them would rise to head alpha status once they started getting intimate, mostly just to keep things calm in the bedroom. Shiro happened to take that roll.

Keith was not complaining. He would do anything for Shiro and letting him mark every inch of his body was just a part of love. Their mating situation was strange from the beginning, but once establishing rules and their places, their relationship had been perfect.

Meanwhile, the three others were walking to the store. It was a good distance walk as well as a good time to have a conversation.

"Why does society hate Alpha on Alpha relationships? Is it because they can't have kids?" Hunk wondered allowed.

No one really had an answer for that. Society just didn't like things that were different and that was the end of the conversation.

Lance cleared his throat, " I think it's ok. I mean, you can't choose who your mate is going to be. I think it's not even as bad as having a male omega as a mate. At least an alpha isn't so pathetic." He let out a nervous laugh, scratching his head.

Pidge had let out a laugh in agreement.

Hunk gave him a disapproving look.

Lance looked down at his feet and let the two betas continue the conversation until entering the town.

It wasn't huge. Mostly a few houses, some local businesses and a large drug store. Once entering the CVS, the two betas ran off to buy snacks. Lance used this distraction to his advantage and went to the back of the store. He swiftly took out his wallet and handed the pharmacist his prescription number. The beta gave him a look of disgust before lazily ringing up the order.

Lance bounced on the balls of his feet and watched the isles for the betas he came with. He couldn't be caught by them. Even though Hunk knew of his status, he would question why he was hiding it now their careers were over. Lance didn't want to explain his failures to his best friend in fear of loosing him. Lance only had Hunk and breaking that support system would be devastating.

Pidge didn't seem to like omegas anyway, so if he found out about Lance, their would be hell to pay. The more people who knew of his status the more dangerous his life could be. Lance did not want to go back to the way things were when he lived with his parents.

" -hey!"

Lance jumped. He whipped his head around to see a very pissed beta.

"Your order's ready," the pharmacist threw the prescription at the omega's chest before turning away.

"T-thank you" Lance stammered. He stuffed the packets into his jacket and went to find the other two teenagers.
