Ghost Encounter #1: Haunted HouseI had just moved to Geronimo Rd, Fort Sill, Oklahoma. The houses were on an Indian Burial ground. Hell, the whole place was on the burial ground! I was seven years old at the time, and I had just transfered to a nearby school; Geronimo Elementary (look it up if you want, they tore it down after its 108th birthday if I'm not mistaken).
The house want big nor was it small. It was a two story house with a basement and an attic. It had three bedrooms, one full bathroom and one half bathroom, a back and front yard, a decent sized kitchen and dining room and a little place for my cat.
I had the biggest of the three bedrooms. It was right next to the stairs so that I can easily get out of the house on time. I had a little "hiding spot" as the historian called it, behind my door.
Being the little girl I was, I had already assumed the place was haunted. I saw shadows the first time I stepped into the damn place... One night my suspicions were proven true.
My whole family; my mom, my one year old brother, my step father, and my cat; were all in the living room. We were all sitting quietly while watching Qubo on TV. That's when the noises happened.
It sounded like people were running back and forth in the hallway upstairs where the bedrooms are. Giggling was heard as well as the stairs creaking. My mom paused the movie and we all sat in silence, trying to figure out what was going on.
My cat, Blackjack, jumped out of my lap and sat at the bottom of the steps. His eyes were displayed and he got into a predatorial position, as if he was gonna pounce, and he let out a deep growl. One that a guard dog would do if someone got to close to their owner.
I went upstairs, only enough to see if anyone was up there, but no one was there. The noises stopped and everything was just how it was before...
Except my door was open and the light was on...
Ghost Encounter #2: Basement
As stupid as it may seem, I was terrified of my basement. It was dark, spooky, and down right creepy. I usually helped my mom with the laundry, which meant I had to go down into the basement.
My step dad used to play jokes on me and turn off the basement light while I was down there just to hear me scream. That's what started my fear of basements.
One day he came home with this night vision camera and told everyone to go outside or a while. He out the camera in the basement and came outside with us. After a few hours, we went in and he played the footage of the basement.
I heard breathing, very clearly. If I hadn't pointed it out, my parents wouldn't have believed me. Nor would they have believed me if I hadn't showed them the shadow in front of the camera. A black shadow like hand reaching towards the camera...
I didn't want to go in the basement since that day...
Ghost Encounter #3: Commissary Ghost
This one wasn't as creepy, but I thought it would be nice to share.
We went to the commissary so that I can pick out cake mix for my birthday that was coming up. We entered the store and I was told to get a shopping cart.
