Summer Camp

Chapter 2

Jevine kept her head down and rubbed her neck where her scar was. 

It's only a matter of time before someone asks. It's not A bad secret Jevine. It's just something you'd rather not talk about. It's fine. Jevine thought to herself. She lowered her hand and slightly raised her head, noticing eyes on her. She looked around and saw Tristan looking at her, but he quickly turned around when she noticed him.

 "How's everybody doing so far?!" The second announcer shouted. Everyone cheered and clapped as loud as they could, excited to meet the camp directors.

"I'm you director, T.J., And this is my co-director and brother, J.T.! Give it up for us!" T.J. said in a prideful manner, but still fun loving. Even more cheers erupted, but Jevine kept quiet and her head down.

 "Now, orientation isn't that long. We do introduce ourselves, and then have your counselors call you guys out to get all of the nit picky things out of the way. Sound good!" J.T. suggested. Everyone agreed, so they began calling out cabins and counselors.

"Hedgehog cabin and Racoon cabin will be partners, and your counselors are Kellie and Terrance!"

From the side of the audience, there was a man and a woman in a camping uniform running out with huge smiles.

"My Hedgehogs should be Shayla and Kayla Anderson, Haliegh Chanton, Beatrix Gonzales, Adrianna McMay-"

The crowd cut Kellie off with whispers and excited murmurs. Jevine didn't get a clear eavesdrop, but she understood that McMay was the fashion designer of all time so far.

Great. The hedgehog cabin is gonna be the snobby cabin. Good to know. Jevine thought sarcastically.

 "Uh, and Pheobe Vining!" Kellie finished. The girls from hedgehog got up and walked to their counselor . Two girls looking like twins.

 "My Racoons should be Chad Ferris, Vincent Johnson, Silvester McMay-" 

Not as many murmurs, but still some gossip spread, and it was clear that Adrianna and Silvester were siblings.

 "-Stu Nelson, Talon Smith, and Will Thompson!" Terrance finished. A troublesome looking group of boys got up and walked to their counselor. The two cabins walked off to find a meeting spot.

"The next pair of cabins are Wolf and Deer!" T.J. Said.

"Your counselors being Natalie and Asher!" J.T. Finished. Another pair of a man and a woman in a camp uniform came running out with sweet smiled on their faces.

 "My fellow Deer should be Lola Bertham, Val Denson, Jevine Mitcham -"

She pronounced my name wrong. Jevine thought annoyingly.

"- Sevaline Silvman-"

More murmurs bwgan, for everyone knew about the Silvman company that was rich beyond belief.

"- Mindy Stanson, and Debra Zenmeya!" Natalie finished. The girls got up and walked to the front, waiting as As he called out the boys. Jevine didn't like standing there, so she got up and went around the crowd, sneaking into the group of girls from the back where no one noticed her.

"My Wolves are Tristan Allen, Zachary Burman, Cooper Dexton, Ryan Harris, Malcom Silvman, and Shane Walter!" Asher called out. The boys stood up and cheered as they walked to the front. Natalie and Asher led the group to a spot by the lake while they continued to pair off the remaining cabins.

Everyone took a seat on the grass, but Jevine stayed in the back, leaning against a tree with her hood on.

 "Ok everyone! To start off, we're all going to say our names and one thing about you that you want us to know. I'll start. I'm Asher and I have no siblings." Asher said.
