On the short side. Sorry.

Jevine's eyes fluttered open as the lights blinded her. She sat up from her bed and looked around, finding herself still in the nurses building.
"How much of that stupid sleep injection did she give me?" She mumbled to herself.
"Two days. It's been two days since you went on your adventure." Ms. Vikki said, handing her some food. Jevine carefully took it and slowly ate.
"Can I leave now?" She asked once she finished.
"Yes, but don't go eating apples. Not unless you want to die." Ms. Vikki said, shooing her off.
Dying isn't such a bad idea actually. Jevine thought, walking out of the building. She looked at the time and saw that it was almost Free time. She quickly ran to the other side of the camp grounds to the pathway that led to the river. As she came up to her spot, she saw Shane sitting there, throwing pebbles into the water.
"Hey." She mumbled, not knowing what else to say. Shane quickly turned to face her and grinned.
"Someone finally decided to wake up." He teased. Jevine rolled her eyes and sat down next to him, picking a few pebbles of her own and tossing them.
"How'd you escape the buddy rule early enough to get here?"
"No one pays attention during lunch. If you can sneak out there and then, you're home free. As long as you don't get caught by the other counselors."
"Well yeah. There's no point in sneaking away if they catch you. You're freedom would be snatched from you in the blink of an eye. "
They both sat in silence until Shane explained her incident of conscious sleep walking to her
"I said 'murderer '? Ugh. Now the girls in Deer cabin aren't going to shut up until they find out what I meant." Jevine complained.
"Hey. Be nice to them."
"How can I be? All they want to do is poke and prod me until they get the answer they're looking for. They make me feel like I'm back at the therapist."
"What's so bad about a therapist?"
"First off: I hardly speak. Secondly, therapists act like they know your pain. Theyn thunk they know how I react to things. They think they know me. But they don't. They just make me feel worse." She explained.
"Aren't I your camp therapist? Theoretically speaking." Shane said.
"If you start acting more like one, then I'll start treating you more like the one back home. With hatred, pure spite, and utter annoyance." She shot back.
"Well, there goes that plan." He teased.
"Seriously?!" Jevine giggled, throwing pebbles towards him.
"Hey! Is this war?!" Shane laughed, scooping up his own handful.
"Only if you declare it to be."
"Then I declare it to be war!" He shouted throwing his handful towards her. Jevine blocked her face, then threw her hand.
They spent the rest of Free Time having their war, then returned to the camp with smiles plastered on their faces.
