Rise and Shine

Third person POV:
Colin woke up to the sun beaming through the mahogany curtains. His child now 6 months old lay softly in the moses basket next to him and Jen was still in her slumber next to him. He quickly showered and brushed his teeth and woke Emma up to feed her. A small cry escaped her small mouth making Jen rise from her sleep.

"Rise and Shine beautiful." Colin chanted as baby Emma was in his arms. Jen looked over to see a picture perfect moment. Emma's green eyes sparkled as she turned her head to face mummy with a gummy smile. Jen loved being a mother. She didn't know how maternal she was until she had Baby Emma. Evan and Millie loved having a younger siblings too.

Jen got up to give Colin a kiss and to hold her child. "Hello little one. You going to throw up on mummy like you did yesterday morning." She said in a high pitched motherese voice. She lifted her up so she was directly in front of Jen's tilted head and brought her back down, nuzzling her tummy making the sprog release a small giggle.
"Awww!" Colin and Jen said together. They walked down stairs and placed Emma on the play mat while Jen prepared milk for her and Colin prepared a coffee for him and Jen.

Jen lifted Emma off the play mat with bottle in hand and perched herself on the sofa as she fed the baby. Emma was a very hungry child. She'd always finish her feed in minutes and wanted more afterwards. Jen's parent's said she was the same too. Mother like Daughter.

"Do you want anything to eat babe?" Colin asked while looking into the fridge to grab the milk.
"Can you make me some avocado on toast please?, remember to use the whole meal seeded bread."  She replied. So Colin got started on making her breakfast.
"Oh Emma!" Jen raised as Emma was sick on her while she tried bringing her wine up. She grabbed a tea cloth to wipe the sick off her shoulder and from Emma's mouth. Emma always brought something else up other than wind. She would burp but after some time. When Colin had finished making her breakfast he took over feeding Emma.
"Come to Dada." He said and reaches it to hold her. Jen passed her into his arms.

She drank the rest of her milk and Colin managed to bring up some wind. She needed her nappy changed so Colin went and done that and also bathed her quickly before getting her changed into a cute summers dress. He also added a headband with a bow attached to it.
"Emma you are so adorable."
Jen came up the stairs and noticed her attire.
"She looks so adorable. I have a dress to match that one. I can wear it if you like as we are going to the mall today. I can match with her."
Colin nodded. She played with Emma while Jen got ready. He lifted her up in the air and at a fast velocity brought her back down again. Causing a giggle and a smile to rise from her soft chaps. When Jen was ready she got the sun screen out of her bathroom to put on Emma. She gave a soft cry as the cold cream was gently rubbed into her skin.
"Shhh....sshh. It's okay sweet pea." Jen whispered to her to hopefully calm her. Emma wasn't a fan of cold substances. She did the exact same thing with baby oil, shower gel and sudocream. She was such a content baby that hearing a soft cry break from her mouth was unusual. Colin said Millie was the same but Evan wasn't as content and if he wanted something he would let you know about it.

They got ready to go out.
"Have you got your purse?" Colin asked.
"It's right here." She said waving it up in the air. They got in the car and drive to the mall. Hoping for a grand day out.
