Third person POV:
Jen woke up surrounded by a pool of blood. She was in excruciating pain but she didn't know what to do. She woke Colin in tears and they rushed to the hospital. The pain was unbearable. She fainted in the car so Colin had to zoom to the hospital. He panicked. He started to drive so fast, skipping red lights just so he could get the love of his life to safety. Jen woke up just before getting to the hospital. Her
lips were blue and her skin fair. She cried to Colin.
"It hurts so bad. OWWW!!"
Colin looked at her in fear. He didn't know what was happening. Jen curled up in a ball on the seat, shaking as they arrived to the hospital. She was barely able to stand. They headed to the emergency room where she seen straight away.

"So what happened?" the doctor asked.
Jen could barely talk through the pain so Colin spoke for her.
"She woke up in a pool of blood coming out of her vagina. She then woke me up in pain and i got her here as fast as I could."
The doctor sighed.
"What's your full name please and birth date."
Jen tried to let the words out but it was so faint you could hardly hear her.
"Jen....ifer" she wavered a she tried her hardest to talk.
"Her name is Jennifer Marie Morrison and she was born April 12th 1979."
"Ok and is she pregnant?" the doctor asked.
"Yes I am. 8 weeks pregnant." Jen said in pain.
The doctor looked ashen.
"Jennifer. I'm afraid to say but you have miscarried. Your own body has terminated the baby. I'm going to do an ultrasound just to make sure."
Jen's face turned to shock. Colin grabbed her hand and laid a kiss upon it. He also was trying to hold back his tears.
"It gonna be ok. It's gonna be ok." Colin softly said.
The doctor placed the gel on her stomach and moved the probe on her stomach to see see what was going on her uterus. Jen couldn't bare to look at the screen. Colin looked in hope it was going to be all good but he didn't know what to look for.

The doctor turned the machine off and wiped the gel off her stomach.
"Jen this is something I've never seen before. You are pregnant with twins but one of them has died. The other baby will survive and be fine but you will carry on bleeding for a few days. I will prescribe you with pain killers and please where sanitary towels as tampons will cause danger for the baby that's alive. Come for another scan in two weeks. You will
be over in the maternity ward." the doctor said with emphasis.
Jen and Colin were relieved. They still had a baby. Jen had some painkillers and they set in very quickly and she was out the hospital going home.

When they got home they sat down on the sofa trying to comprehend what just happened. Jen sat with her legs crossed and her head in her hands. Colin perched beside her.
"Colin I'm so sorry. I lost one of your babies." Jen sobbed historically.
Colin shed tears.
"It wasn't your fault, don't blame this on yourself." He replied comforting her.
"But my body got rid of one of our children. We were going to have twins." she continued.
Colin pulled he in for a hug as she carried on crying. She was also still in small amount of pain. Colin rubbed her stomach and said.
"We are still having a baby. Be happy about that."
Jen showed a small smile as she wiped away her tears.
"Tomorrow I'm going to tell my parents as they need to know that I'm ok." she softly said.
Colin nodded. He went upstairs to strip the bed of the bloody sheets and put a new sheet on. Jen went into the kitchen to grab a glass of water. She was still in her pyjamas and she hadn't brushed her teeth so she went to go do that and change. She went into the room that Colin quickly cleaned. He had jumped in the shower. The pain they both felt that morning was like no other. They wanted to be as careful as they could from now on(not that they wasn't before). They loved each other so much that they could get through this together. Not the that child will be here to mane they a family. They both couldn't wait.
