About an hour after Justin and I had sex on the floor, a different man brought Zach back in. Me and Justin looked at each other and then looked at Zach. Zach responded to the awkward silence with, "Why are you looking at me like that?" Justin and I busted out laughing, knowing what had happened in this room just a little bit ago. Zach walked over to me and Justin and sat down with us. He laid his head on my leg and I combed my fingers through his hair until he fell asleep. Justin and me started to talk about his love for astronomy and my love for playing the guitar. After talking for what seemed like eternity, Justin fell asleep, and I followed in suit soon after. I was awoken by Zach shaking me violently. He had tears streaming down his face and was pointing at Justin. "I.. was asking him a.. question.. and then he just.. stopped.. talking, and then he fell asleep and he wouldn't.. wake up." He said, choking on his own words. I looked over at Justin, shaking him frantically. No response. I started CPR. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. Blow in, blow in. Unlike earlier, he didn't wake up. I didn't know what to do other than scream. Two of the men rushed into the room and saw Justin. They looked at him and then looked at each other. The bald man scratched his head and shrugged his shoulders. The other man walked over to Justin's lifeless body and picked him up effortlessly. He carefully placed him in the golf bag. He zipped the bag up and then took the bag by the handles and left. The bald man looked at me and Zach and walked over to us.
"Get up," He said, jerking Zach off the ground by his arm. I guess he thought that if he had Zach, I wouldn't run. Which was right. He took Zach and I to a large room with a meeting table. The man let go of Zach and pointed to a chair for him to sit in. I sat down in a chair next to Zach. The man left, locking the door. I realized that there was a man at the back of the room. He turned around and he looked me dead in the eyes.
"If you tell anyone about this. I mean anyone, I'll kill you." He said with a devilish grin on his face.
"Okay.. I won't," I said, scared.
"No need to be scared, Trish," He said.
"How.. do you know my name?," I asked.
"Don't worry about that," He said, looking at Zach now. "Now, little fella, you won't tell anyone about this, now will you?," He asked Zach. Without saying anything, Zach shook his head violently.
"Good. That's what I thought," He said, walking closer to us. He grabbed Zach by his arm and walked him to a staircase. We walked up the stairs, one by one. At the top of the stairs, there was only a confined, restricted hallway. There was a ladder and the man started to climb it, so Zach followed him, and I followed Zach. Once we reached the top of the ladder, the man did some kind of special knock on the roof and then the lid opened. The man went outside first and then I hosited Zach up, because he's always been short. I climbed out last, looking around, I realized we were only a few feet from the hospital. The man pulled a garbage bag out of a pile of trash and threw it at me, I caught it. I looked inside and, there was my phone, and me and Zach's shoes.I looked down, just now realizing that I had only my socks on. I handed Zach his shoes and put mine on. The man looked at me with sorry eyes and said, "Here's some money. I've called you an Uber." He placed the money in the garbage bag and went back down into the pothole. Zach and I waited for about 5 minutes and then a car pulled up. It had a sticker on the window that read, 'Uber'. I grabbed the bag and walked with Zach to the car. Right before I got into the car, the man came back. "Here's your boyfriends bag," He said, handing me a satchel with the letter 'J' sewn onto it. I took the bag, nodding 'thanks' to him as he closed the car door. "Where are you guys headed on this fine morning?," The Uber driver asked, looking back at Zach and I. I recognized her face, I just couldn't put a name to it.
"Take us to Trinity Health, please," I asked. I wanted to go to Trinity Health because when we arrive, the man gets an alert on his phone, letting him know where we are, and after everything that's happened, we don't want him to know our address. Plus, we live right by Trinity Health.
"Oh, Trinity Health? I live right by there," She said, and I realized who she was. She was Justin's mother, Aquilla! I didn't know what to say at the time, so Zach broke the silence.
"Are you Justin's mother?"
"Uh.. yes.. Why?," She asked, her eyes shifting to the rearview mirror.
"Well, he has died," Zach said, looking to the ground. The car started to slow down as Aquilla started to speak.
"You're... you have to be kidding. This is some sick prank, right?," She said, looking back at Zach.
"No ma'am. I was there," Zach said, finally making eye contact with her. She looked at me for a confirmation and I silently nodded my head. A single tear started to stream down her cheek as she turned around and continued to drive. Once we rode for about 5 minutes of silence, we arrived at the hospital. I unbuckled my seat belt and felt around for my wallet. Aquilla turned around, wondering what was taking so long. "It's fine, you don't have to pay," She said, turning around. Zach and I got out of the car and walked up to the hospital. We walked inside and got some food from the vending machines. I got a bottle of water and a bag of chips, while Zach, on the other hand got a cola and a bag of bite-sized cookies. Once we ate our food, we took our drinks and walked home.
