I read the text from Noah and then quickly put the phone down. Okay, what did Zach and Noah do at his house?  I decided not to think about that as Zach came back in the room.

"Have you seen my phone?" He asked before looking at the floor.

"Oh, yeah here it is." I said, picking it up off the floor and handing it to him. He took his phone from my hands, read the text and smiled before going up to his room. I again began to think about Zach and Noah, shaking my head, ignoring my thoughts, I then heard my phone ring. I must have left it in the kitchen because that's where the ringing was coming from. It was an unlisted number. I answered it to hear a strange voice.

"Ello, my name's Fernando, I am 69 years old and looking for a good time.." He said, somehow I could tell he was smiling. I quickly hung up and laughed to myself and started to laugh. Poor guy, I thought. His name is Fernando. As soon as I hung up, someone knocked on the door. I assumed it was Justin's parents. I smoothed back my hair and opened the door. Two people stood there looking very distraught. His mother looked just like your typical person. She looked nice, caring, and loving. She was about 5 feet tall. His father on the other hand was a very short man. He wore a shirt that said "Cats, Cats, Cats 💜". His pants had cats on them. Everything he was wearing had cats on it. He really loved cats or was trying to be funny. I invited them inside,

"Come in, come in! It's nice to have you here, even though it's not a good occasion." I said, trying to be nice. His mother and father eagerly came inside, as I was getting ready to close the door, a little boy ran inside, around the same age as Zach, maybe a year younger. He was the spitting image of Justin. He introduced himself as Joshua Jones Meyers, Justin's little brother. Then it hit me, I remembered him from that day at the cafe! He asked if he could go and meet my brother and I told him to knock himself out and he quickly and quietly took off his shoes, walking upstairs.

"First door on the left." I said, hoping he'd hear me. His parents talked to me, both introducing themselves at the same time. I made out that the fathers name was Billy and the mothers name was Becky.

"Well, nice to meet you both, I'm Trish, but you already know. I have sweet tea and some watermelon in here." I said, gesturing towards the living room. They both followed, having a seat on the couch. I smiled at them and sat on the other couch opposite of them.

"So, how did you know Justin?" Becky asked, already tearing up.

"Well, we went to school together back in 8th grade, and he is -- was a regular at the cafe that I worked at." I said, sniffling.

"You were the last person that texted him." His father said, with a stone cold face.

"Yes sir, I was. As you've probably seen on the news, I was kidnapped and Justin came down there to help me and my brother. I wish he wasn't so nice. He always wanted to help people." I said, wishing away the pain, but not forgetting the lust.

"Our son was a bit of a.. nerd." He said.

"Oh, Bill! Don't talk about him that way." Becky said, getting defensive.

"Oh, it's fine, Justin was a bit of a nerd but I liked him for that." I said, looking down.

"Were you both a couple?" Becky asked me as she tucked her long, brown hair behind her ears.

"Uh, no, not officially, but you could say that.." I said, trailing off, hoping they'd follow my lead.

"What do you mean?" Becky asked, catching on.

"Well, I don't know what your views are on this but Justin and I had sex the night he was.. murdered and now.. well.. I'm pregnant." I said, looking up. Bill got up and went to the kitchen, while Becky was over the moon.

"A grandchild? Bill, do you hear? A grandbaby!" She said, while jumping off the couch. Bill sharply turned around, looking me in the eyes with a cold, dark stare. He was short, but he was scary.

"You think I'm happy about this?! Our son was murdered, and this woman," he said, pointing at me. "defiled him the same day he died. Do you think that's a coincidence?!" He said, looking at me and Becky.

"Oh, hush up, Bill, Justin was 22. He was going to get it sooner or later." Becky said, stepping towards me as I stood up. I was happy she defended me, but upset because Bill wasn't happy.

"Do you know if it's multiples? Or just a boy? Or a girl? Do you need supplies? When did you find out?" Becky said, bombarding me with questions.

"I found out last night. You guys and my brother are the only people who know." I said, just to be interrupted by Joshua.

"I'm going to have a niece or nephew? Really? Is it true, is it true?" He asked, running down the stairs, almost tripping.

"Yes, buddy it's true." Becky and Bill said at the same time. Weird. I smiled at their strange, but happy family. Even though Justin was gone, they still put smiles on their faces. I started to tear up as I walked upstairs. I entered Zach's room to find him siting down on the bed on the phone. I motioned for him to hang up.

"Hold on Noah, I'll call you back." He said, happily, but a bit annoyed.

"Uh, Zach, can I talk to you?" I said, sitting down next to him.

"Oh, uh, sure." He said, scooting closer to me.

"Now look, you have to let me tell my side of the story before you get pissed, okay?" I said.

"Uh, okay." He said, confused.

"So basically when you got back from Noah's today, you seemed really weird and then you went to the kitchen, and your phone dropped.. then it vibrated so I --" I started to say, as I got cut off.

"You went through my phone?" He said, standing up, getting defensive.

"No, no, no, let me finish. It vibrated and then all I saw was a text from Noah and that's it." I said, looking away and playing with my hair.

"Which text?!" He yelled. "Trish, which text?!" I looked backed up and him. He looked hurt. But not because of the text.

"I had fun today. Winky face. That's it. That's the only one I saw." I said.

"Oh." He said, apologetic.

"But, Zach, what's wrong? Something else is bothering you. What is it? I'm here to talk." I said, standing up, walking closer to him.

"It's just.. I don't know. I've been really upset lately and just haven't been hungry." Zach said, reaching out to hug me.

"What? What do you mean you haven't been eating? What about today at Noah's house? You had breakfast and lunch, right?" I asked, returning the hug and looking down at him.
