Noah and I had a lot of fun at the park, after being there for about 2 hours, we decided to go to the arcade. I had about $20 in my wallet, ready to spend it all with Noah.
"Okay, I've never been to this arcade, so you'll have to show me around." Noah said just as we arrived.
"Of course! It's pretty small but there's a lot to it." I said, not even thinking that it sounded weird.
"Hah, okay, let's go in." Noah said, walking in.
"Okay! Wait up! You don't even know your way around here!" I said, running after him. He slowed down, then came to a complete stop. He spun around, basically jetting out of the arcade.
"What? What's wrong? Noah?" I said as he walked passed me.
"I just saw my dad." He said, turning around, crying.
"Well, can't you go say 'Hi' to him or something?" I asked.
"No! He-- he left, us. Me, my brother and my mom." He said, stepping closer towards me.
"So now he's here of all places?" I asked, upset.
"I guess, I don't know. Sorry he had to ruin our date." He said, backing up.
"Noah, wait." I said, even before I had a chance to think.
"What, Zach? I don't even understand why you wanna be with me. I ruin everything. I'm a ruiner. I ruin, ruin, ruin." He said, before he began to sob.
"No, you don't. You haven't ruined this relationship, so you haven't ruined everything." I said, starting to notice everyone staring. We were making a scene. I walked closer to Noah, grabbing his hand and pulling him away from the entrance of the arcade.
"Zach, don't you see? My dad left us for a reason. He chose his other family over us." He said, wiping his eyes.
"He did that because he's a dick. Not because of anything you did." I said, letting go of his hand.
"He hated my family. He hated my mom. He hated my brother. He hated me." That's why he left.
"No, like I said, he's a dick. He's a waste of life and a terrible human being." I said, without even thinking.
"He might be a dick, but what he said about me is true!" Noah said, beginning to cry again.
"Hey, talk to me. I'm here." I said, going to hug him.
Trish's P.O.V
I had a pretty eventful day with the Meyers. They gave me a lot of clothes for the baby, when it gets here, seeing as that I'm just a month along. Oh! I should probably make an appointment with my OB/GYN. I decided to go call her, seeing as she didn't know I was pregnant.
"Hi, thank you for calling Trinity Hospital's OB/GYN department. If you'd like to talk with our head OB/GYN, Dr. Stewart, please type in extension #2323. If there is another doctor you are calling for, please type in their extension number now." Said a women in a not-so-happy voice. I quickly typed in my doctor 4 digit extension, not wanting to hear the message again.
"Hello, this is Dr. Smith speaking." Said my doctor, in a happy voice.
"Hey, Dr. Smith, it's Trish Taylors calling, I need to set up an appointment with you." I said.
"Oh, hello Trish! You haven't been showing up for your regular appointments, is everything okay?" She asked, in a concerned tone.
"Oh, sorry, a lot has happened since our last appointment." I said, not wanting to go into details.
"Okay, but why do you need an appointment? Is it urgent?" She asked, in that concerned voice again.
"I think I'm pregnant, well, I took a test and it said positive and now I don't know because it's dad isn't here, and I already have someone to take care of, and I just don't know what to do." I said, rambling a bit.
"Oh, honey, it's okay, let's see.." She said, as I heard papers rustling. "I have an appointment slot open.. tomorrow at 9:00 am." She said, as the noise stopped.
"Okay, thank you, have a nice day. Bye!" I said, rather rudely. After that, I decided to head home and see Zach. After about just a 20 minute Uber, I arrived at the house. I walked inside,
"Zach? You home?" I yelled throughout the house. I feared the worst and decided to call him.
"Hello? Trish? What do you want?" Zach answered, sounding a bit upset.
"Where are you? I came home and you weren't here." I said, not understanding his anger.
"I left. This morning, you weren't here." He said.
"At least I had the decency to write you a note." I said, becoming more upset.
"Yeah, sure, whatever. I'm at the arcade with Noah. We'll be home soon. Bye." He said, not giving me a chance to reply. I sighed in frustration and decided to go read a book.
I was about halfway into the first chapter when I got the sudden urge to vomit. I ran to the nearest bathroom, almost not making it, after that, I went upstairs and brushed my teeth. I rinsed my face off with water, looking up in the mirror I saw bags under my eyes. Jesus fucking Christ, the nightmares are really getting to me. I thought, wiping my face off. I walked over to the shower and debating on whether or not to take one. I ultimately decided I should, so I undressed, leaving myself in only my bra and underwear. I walked over to the full body mirror, looking at my stomach. There was barely nothing there, but if you looked hard enough, you could see a small bump. Hey, you'll be here real soon, and I'll take good care of you. I said to myself. I walked over to the shower, taking off the rest of my clothing, turned it on and stepped in.
Refreshing. Showers were always my favorite part of the day. I stepped out, grabbing my towel to wrap myself in. I got dressed in my pajamas rather quickly and went back downstairs to call Zach and finish my book.
"Trish? What do you want, this is the second time you've time you've called me." He said, sounding more sad than angry.
"Zach, what's wrong, where are you? It's 9'oclock at night." I said, glancing at the clock above the TV.
"Sorry, Noah and I lost track of time. I'm gonna walk him home and then I'll go home. Give me 20 minutes." He said, sounding more sincere.
"20 minutes, starting now." I said, hanging up. In 15 minutes, Zach was home, heading straight up to his room.
"Nope, Zach where do you think you're going?" I asked, setting my book down.
"Up to my room, where else?" He said, not even looking at me.
"No, come here, right now." I said.
"Fine, god, what do you want?" He asked, rolling his eyes and sitting down next to me.
"Okay, first of all, what the hell is your problem?"' I asked, turning to face him.
"I don't have a goddamn problem, Trish, can I go to my room?" He said, trying to shove something into his pocket.
"Okay, what is that?" I asked, pointing towards his hand, which was trying to shove something into his jean pocket.
"It's nothing, okay? Just a piece of paper.." He said, still trying to shove it into his pocket.
"Okay, then why are you hiding a 'piece of paper'?" I asked, using air quotes.
"I'm not!" He said, throwing his hands up in frustration, letting the 'piece of paper' fall from his grip. Let me tell you, it wasn't a piece of paper. It was a condom wrapper and an un-opened one.
"Zach, what the fuck is that?" I said, standing up.
