"Kara! So glad to meet you! What do you need?" Mrs. Kerri, a kind hearted secretary, asked.
"Oh I would just like to meet Mrs. Etheridge. It has to do with a scheduling problem." I answer Mrs. Kerri.
"Oh ok! Then just go in right in!" Mrs. Kerri answers just as the phone starts to ring.
I walk past Mrs. Kerri's desk and into Mrs. Etheridge's office. Mrs. Etheridge is the one person everyone goes to when they need help with scheduling involving academics. She's so burdened with all the other requests, I sort of feel bad that I'm taking up some of her time. But then I remember why I came here in the first place and the guilt dissolves away. I knock on Mrs. Etheridge's door and open it when I hear a faint come in. I pop my head in to see a very tired looking woman with short blonde hair cut in a bob. As soon as she looks at me, her face lights up.
'I have no idea why people keep feeling happy when they see me, I'm not a very fun person to be around.' I think to myself.
I just shake off that random thought and walk right in. Isaac reluctantly follows me and stands right beside me.
"Kara! It's such a surprise to see you here! What's the problem?" asks Mrs. Etheridge in a tired yet somewhat happy voice.
"Oh um we have a scheduling problem here." I answer.
She suddenly frowns and says, "Really? I'm so sorry about that I'll get that fixed right away. What class do you need to be switched into?" She asks me.
I shake my head when I realize that she thought that it was a mistake with my schedule.
"Oh no, it's not my schedule, it's Isaac's schedule. You put him into a Spanish class, when it was supposed to be a French class." I say to her.
She frowns and looks something up on her computer. She suddenly shakes her head and looks at Isaac, her eyes apologetic.
"I'm so sorry Isaac, I didn't mean to make that mistake! I'll fix that right away." She says as she starts typing away at her computer.
After she hits the final key, the small printer in her office comes to life and spits out a piece of paper. She grabs it and hands it to Isaac.
"I hope everything else is in order." She says.
Isaac just nods so I answer for him.
"It seems that it is. Thank you so much for your time Mrs. Etheridge! I'll leave you to your work now!" And with that final bye, I close the door quickly and turn away and start walking.
I hear Isaac catch up to me. I glance sideways at him as he walks alongside me. I lead him to the cafeteria doors to deposit him there to then quickly find my friends. It seems like lunch is almost over so I had make it over to our hiding spot quick.
"Well, this is where we part ways." I say to him.
"What do you mean? Aren't you going to come inside?" He asks very confused.
"You can have lunch in other spaces Isaac. Plus my friends and I never eat in the cafeteria, too much noise." I say.
And with that one remark, I just turn around and quickly run to our hiding spot, glancing behind me to see that Isaac was just staring at me in a daze.
'Please, don't make this more complicated for me Issac.' I think to myself as I quickly sprint away from the cafeteria.

Look I know that this chapter is short as well but two chapters in one day should even out the length problems that y'all might have with my chapters. I might update tomorrow. But don't expect it. And also don't forget to please vote and comment. I really do enjoy constructive criticism. It helps my writing skills. Anyway have a nice day or night depending where you are!

Romance"You've heard of Karma?" asks Zack. "Of course I have!" I say with a somewhat fake smile on my face. 'Of course I've heard of myself' I think to myself. I don't know if Zack is blind or not but he didn't seem to notice that my smile was fake. Either...
