The fact that Gerard decided to cooperate with Frank couldn't have made him happier. It was difficult to have to deal with Gerard's sassy behavior all day, especially after Frank had gone through so much just to get Gerard to the house, so having him finally listen was so relieving.
And not only that, but Gerard had admitted that he liked Frank back! Of course, Frank knew he did the whole time, but Frank was too scared to say anything about it to him.
However, he still had a lot of things he needed to work on with Gerard. Frank needed to do a better job of showing him that he was in charge, and no matter what Gerard attempted to, he would outsmart him. Luckily enough though, he hadn't tried to escape yet, but surly he was planning on it; Frank could sense it.
It was the second day since Frank had kidnapped Gerard. The two of them happily ate breakfast together and talked like they used to. Although Gerard got a bit noisy at times, Frank just ignored his questions by steering away from them. Frank couldn't have him knowing where they were or what day it was. At least not yet; maybe he'd tell him when he could absolutely trust that Gerard wouldn't use the knowledge against him.
Later on, Frank decided to give Gerard another "gift". Yesterday it had been his art supplies, but today he was thinking about giving him something a bit more personal. Quite honestly, he wasn't sure it was the best of ideas, but if he appreciated it, it would surly make him happy.
So, Frank called Gerard into his room where he kept all of the things he wasn't allowed to know about. As Gerard entered with a curious look, Frank made sure to hold the rectangular object well-hidden behind his back.
"Hey, Gee, I have another present for you," Frank announced, trying to maintain his excitement. "This one is more personal though, so please don't get upset".
"I won't. I promise," Gerard grinned.
"Okay, close your eyes and hold out your hands".
"Again? How many times am I going to have-"
"Just shut up and do it," Frank whined, still giggling.
Gerard rolled his eyes and did as he was told. Frank carefully placed the fragile object in his hands, making sure that he wouldn't accidentally drop it. Gerard made an exaggerated expression, but slowly opened is eyes with wonder.
Gerard's mouth quickly dropped open as he examined what Frank had given him this time. Frank stood nervously bitting his lip, trying to read Gerard to figure out what was going through his head.
"F-Frank, why," Gerard sighed, sounding disappointed.
"Fuck, I'm sorry. I knew I shouldn't have given it to you..." Frank admitted. He walked away from Gerard and slumped down onto his bed, putting his head to his knees. After a long pause he said, "I just thought it'd make you happy... to see your brother".
Gerard looked back down at the gift Frank had given him. It was a framed picture of him and his brother, Mikey. It was a fairly recent one too; one from a family party a year or so ago.
"I just haven't seen him in a while is all, and now with me staying here with you-"
"Ugh, it was a stupid idea," Frank groaned, "I'm only making you miss him more..."
"Hey, wait," Gerard perked up and sat down next to Frank, "What if we invited him here to visit us? You haven't seen him in a while either, have you?"
"But Gerard, you know we can't do that. He might not agree with all of this. And like you said, if someone finds out about what I did, they'll lock me up for sure.... and you won't be able to come with me".
