Y/N thinks as she stands there, dumbfounded by Taehyung's quick and painful rejection.

Up until this point her peers had always been mocking her, laughing at her, and fat shaming her. Up until this point everyone had been, not only rude, but bullying her to the extent of treating her like a pig. But because of this rejection, her female peers are suddenly able to empathize with her, as countless girls have been in her current state.

However, this fact doesn't make the pain any less bearable.

Her insides felt crushed and twisted and sour, and all she wanted to ask then and there was "why" and "then who do you like??" However, the suddenness of it all puts a cork in her throat and blocks her from communicating her true feelings. The only thing she can think of doing now is running from this whole predicament.

So she does.

As her heart beats like a humming bird trying to escape from her chest, she runs from the cafeteria, probably faster than she's ever ran before, all the while searching for the nearest bathroom to undeniably bawl her eyes out in.

----yesterday after school----

Jungkook was walking towards the school gates, planning to say goodbye to Ji-hyun before meeting with his friends for a while and then returning home. As he approached the gates he sees Ji-hyun waiting for him patiently with a smile.

He loved how perfect she always looked.

"Hey babyyy~" Ji-hyun sang as he arrived at their usual meeting place.

He never cared much for her contemptuous personality; as long as she kept up her appearance there wouldn't be any problems.

"What's up girl?" He exhaled quietly as he lessened the space between them, gently wrapping a hand around her waist and pulling her closer for a kiss. He had been waiting the entire day to be alone with her. But before he could make contact someone interrupted.

"Yo JK!" Taehyung shouted as non-discreetly as possible. The couple's personal moment was now ruined as they both looked towards the school to a jogging Taehyung. Jungkook sighed, exasperated at Taehyung's timing.

Behind him followed five just as impossibly good looking guys trailing behind Taehyung without a fraction of urgency that Taehyung showed jogging towards Jungkook.

Amongst these five were a mint haired man with tired eyes, looking as if he wanted to be anywhere else but here. Accompanying him was a purple haired man with dimples and glasses, looking especially dapper today. He seems to be scolding the tired man, not noticing he was wasting his efforts as his friend seems to be completely zoned out.

Behind them were two bright guys who sauntered together, chatting obliviously about summer drama and the events of the first day of school. One strikingly gorgeous man seemed to have just told the other a hilarious joke, because the other couldn't stop laughing. He had the most contagious smile.

And finally, the one that lags behind the rest of the group would have caught the attention of any bystander first, even with all the stunning men around. He has blazing red hair and hung his arms casually on the shoulders of two beautiful girls who both seemed to be lost in his charms. He hung a devilish smile on his face as he approached the rest of the group, who were all waiting for him at this point. He was always the last to arrive.

"Hey, dude we gotta talk." Taehyung huffed to Jungkook. "Okay, then talk." He responds. Taehyung gives him a look and continues "We gotta talk just us." He gestures to the group, obviously not including the red haired boy's entourage and Ji-hyun. "So get rid of your girlfriend and, Jimin, do I even have to ask you to get rid of your harlots." Taehyung says dismissively, shooing the two girls around Jimin away.

One of the girls scoffs and retorts: "Excuse you, we are not prostitutes!" In which Taehyung replies by just shooing them away a little more vigorously, raising his eyebrows and giving them a you're-not-part-of-this-just-go-away look.

The girls look at Jimin, awaiting him to defend them. When he does nothing they make a condescending noise and stomp away. Jimin just shrugs, knowing he can do better.

Taehyung turns to Ji-hyun and says: "Your turn now." Ji-hyun makes a disdain face at him, and turns to a neutral Jungkook who carelessly adds: "I'll see you tomorrow." Ji-hyun finally takes a hint and leaves, feeling a little hurt as she steps into her private car.

"I can't believe you're still with her." The purple haired man said to Jungkook the moment Ji-hyun's car turned a corner. "At least I don't date and dump like you Namjoon." Jungkook snaps back. Before Namjoon could give his younger friend a proper lecture about his side of the story, Taehyung puts an end to the bickering and begins: "Guys, guys, we didn't meet to talk about JK's trashy girlfriend, we met to discuss something much more important."

As Jungkook opens his mouth to defend Ji-hyun, the mint haired man chimes in and says: "What's so important that you had to delay my afternoon nap for?"

"Haven't you heard about the phone incident this morning Yoongi-hyung?" Taehyung says. "What phone incident?" The others look just as puzzled as Yoongi.

Jungkook signs and explains that there was a new student who took Tae's seat today, and that she was a "fat chick." He admitted he was being sour over her taking Taehyung's seat and that's why he didn't let her pass through to get to Tae's seat, and ultimately that's what caused the phone moving to occur.

"Honestly, she's just annoying as hell. Like she looked at me twice today with this weird-ass look like she wanted to take it outside and fight me. Like what's up with that??" Jungkook added after the brief bias-filled explanation.

"Yo, she sounds like she needs a lesson." The moments ago smiling man adds. "See, I knew you'd get it Hoseok, come on what'd you guys think?" Taehyung replies, though fully knowing he would mess with Y/N even if his friends weren't going to join him.

But alas, they do. One by one they start complying. An excited energy starts to build as they joke about her weight, showing cringe-filled faces as members of the group imagine her with her over-sized body basically doing anything remotely normal.

For example, even walking: "Ewww, think about the chaffing, I bet she gets rashes." The gorgeous one with blond hair imagines as he grimaces. "Dude, Jin that's actually so disgusting, don't say rash...although I bet she does have some HA!" Jimin retaliates.

As time goes on, they decide to pull the usual trick on her. Make her think one of them likes her and wait until she confesses, then hurt and embarrass her.

Of course, this isn't for the sole purpose of gaining the joy of embarrassing someone, as high school students they have to find ways to keep up their social positions somehow. Admittedly, this is an easy way to do it but they don't give a damn.

After moments of pointing fingers, deciding on who the lucky guy will be to get to embarrass Y/N, they settle on Taehyung since he was the one to start this plan in the first place.

Hence the events began to unfold.

The staring as she entered campus (it took some efforts too; not eye-candy, that's for sure).

The subtle eye movements, and smiling.

The winking.

Of course when they saw her trip after the wink, no one moved from their spots. They simply cackled with each other, some of them tearing up from how gullible Y/N seemed. Jungkook was even genuinely upset that he missed the whole incident because he was too caught up making out with Ji-hyun.

The boys wanted to play with Y/N a little more, but it all came to an abrupt and painful end during lunch that day. Taehyung and the others were of course surprised at how quickly she confessed, as anyone would be since she had only met the guy yesterday, but Taehyung took it as praise to his good acting.

After all this, one question still remains...if it wasn't Taehyung, who was Y/N's savior?
