You're walking out of the school gates toward the car, clutching your backpack stripes. You just finished chatting with Seulgi. She told you a lot about her friends Irene, Yeri and a few others. She invited you to eat lunch with her tomorrow to meet her friends and you agreed. Thankfully nothing more embarrassing than the pig event happened today.
"Hey bro." You say as you approach the car. He opens his side of the car door. "Hey sis, ready to go?"
Your mouth hangs open in the middle of speech when a thought occurs to you. You forgot your phone in your desk.
You mindlessly pat your wide torso as if there was a pocket there. "Ahh, ddaeng sorry bro I think I forgot my phone in class. I'll be quick." Joe sends you an understanding nod as you turn back, jogging inside. By now almost all the cars have left their parked areas, so you don't have to worry about showing off the glamorous jiggle of your body as you jog.
As you walk, panting, up to your classroom, you stop abruptly before entering. Shit. You think as you see Taehyung and Jungkook inside. You sigh. Damn detention, and damn my bad memory.
Jungkook is sitting on Mrs. Sun's desk, back facing the dusty chalkboard. Taehyung has clustered together a few desks, just enough so he can fit on it lying down. They seem to be chatting.
You scan the distance between Tae and your desk. You know you have to pass through Jungkook to get to it but at least Taehyung is farther back in the classroom.
Do you really need your phone? You sigh, defeated. Yea you kinda do. So you swallow, fixing your hair so it blocks the side of your face, concealing your chunky side profile from them. You check if there's anything out of place in your school uniform. Finally, after okay-ing everything, you inhale a deep breath and step into the light of the classroom.
Conversation immediately halts. Jeongguk turns to his left and jumps off Mrs. Sun's table, standing unconventionally straight. You hear some noises to your left and see Taehyung scrambling to shove tables back. You look back at Jungkook and he's slouching now, giving you an annoyed look. "Thought you were the teacher." He mutters before reverting back to his resting position.
You turn your gaze to your target: your desk. Quick in and out. Come on Y/N let's make this as painless as possible. Taehyung's still shoving tables back clumsily, making your moves cautious. You don't want to get shoved along with the tables now do you.
"Yah! Hyung it's fine it's just the fat chick." Taehyung's head shoots up at his friend, then bounces onto you. You give him no attention, pretending not to see him. Taehyung stands up from his bent position of moving the desks, wiping his hands on his thighs, relieved. He sits back on the closest chair he could find, arm at the back of the chair, his body facing you.
"What're you doing here." Jungkook demands. None of your business. You kneel down to rummage through the contents of your desk. "Forgot my phone." You say meekly.
You sense a small nod from Jungkook. You hear a snicker. "Sure it wasn't your...second lunch or something? Or do you eat three everyday?" You hear laughing exhales from Tae. That bastard's definitely smirking right now. You look up at Jungkook. Yep. His weight is shifted to the right as he leans on his arm, his head tilted up and smirking down at you. Predictable.
As you continue to rummage through your belongings, the boys seem to have forgotten about your existence since they go back to their conversing. "Anyway, what were you saying?" Tae asks.
"Oh yea." Jungkook jumps off the table. You hear his footsteps round a corner to behind it. "We have to get this cleaning thing over with, Ji-hyun wants to meet up later and she complains when I'm late. Her voice gets all pitchy and she's pouty, and not to mention very hard to get in the mood for later."
Taehyung sighs. "I don't get why you're still with that bitch." Ha, at least we agree on something Kim Taehyung. That girl is indeed a bitch.
Jungkook waves Taehyung's statement off. "You know why." Don't we all? You push through a few scraps of paper. Damn, gotta organize better.
"Whatever. Why do we even have to clean? I thought detention was a free ride to sleep for an hour." Taehyung whines.
Jungkook shrugs. "Didn't you hear the teacher? No use to complain now. And we agreed, front half of the room is mine, back half is yours. When I'm done with mine I'm gone." Jungkook raises his hands up like a police just pointed a gun at him. "I just don't know where the goddamn board eraser is." He says. Of course you don't. Brawns over brains this one for sure.
The chair under Taehyung creaks as he leans back, setting his designer shoes on a desk and putting both hands behind his head. "Sorry man. Can't help you there." You scoff. It must've been loud since they go silent. You feel them looking in your direction. You cover it up with a few coughs. That seems to have covered it up. Aha! Here it is. You slip the phone in your bag and stand up.
You make your way to the back of the classroom. "Well can't you at least help to look??" You hear Jungkook picking up and placing down books and pencil cups. Taehyung yawns and stretches. One day you're gonna flip back on that chair. It'll be a good day.
You're at the back corner of the room now, where all the mops and sweeps and rags are. The board eraser is set on a window counter next to the heap. Pretty sure they were sleeping when the teacher absent mindlessly placed it back here when she was putting back and erasing things off the small whiteboards given to the class for an activity. Yep, you recall the small boards being handed out, to a sound asleep Taehyung and Jungkook. You audibly exhale at the memory of their boards placed humorously, balancing on their resting heads.
Even if they missed it, this is the first place anyone normal would look for cleaning appliances. It's like they've never cleaned anything in their lives. Cleaning stuff is always in a back corner somewhere in a classroom.
You could leave it here and risk the tardiness of Jungkook at his and your ex bff's screw-session, but you remind yourself that you're once again trying to clear up your image at school. So you pick up the eraser.
Jungkook's throwing white chalk at a trying-to-sleep Taehyung when you make you way to the front of the class. You glance at the door. Ah, sweet sweet escape. "Yah. What do you want." Jungkook's threatening voice snaps you out of it. You glare back at him, and sling the eraser at the board. It makes a slam, jolting Taehyung up and making Jungkook jump back.
Your arm hangs in the direction of the eraser, there and sturdy, stuck on the board. They're usually magnetic, not that these rich boys would've ever raised a finger to pay attention to.
You saunter out of the class, like that was the most normal thing ever, leaving two speechless startled boys. You wanted help didn't you? Don't complain if it comes in an unexpected package.
Taehyung is the first to speak. "...am I the only one who thinks that was actually aimed at your head?"
