I made my way into the gym and I was in a really happy mood today! I practiced all day yesterday, cartwheels on the beam at home, and now, I can do one perfectly.
When Katie asked why I was so happy, I said,"Now I can do perfect cartwheels!"
She smiled and showed how proud she was. Later, when we were working on beam, she wanted to see my cartwheel, so I showed her. I haven't done a perfect cartwheel on a high beam, but I think I might be able to do it.
I saluted, kicked my left leg with pointed toes, put my hands on the beam, and kicked my right leg to the other side with straight legs, along with my left leg.
Katie clapped and said,"Good job!"
I showed all my friends and they were happy for me, too.
Meanwhile, we were working on bars and I was struggling with my cast to horizontal skill. But because of Katie I got my skill perfectly today. After that I showed her my other skills for level 4, my pike glide kip, long hang kip, and back hip circle. But I was still slightly scared for my squat on. I knew that this was just the start and in level 5, I would be doing uneven bars ahhh I was most scared of.
Katie was a good coach. She always helped me through my skills I had struggles with and that I thought I'd never get. I still did horrible with my squat on, but I just planned to work on it my next practice, even though I shouldn't always rely on the next practice.
