Yangguang's POV

"Yangguang!" someone called quickly as he jumped and tapped my shoulder, making me flinched.

Judging by the soft sent, I already knew who it was. I frowned and looked at him, "Yah Chen Linong!"

He raised an eyebrow, "Yah?"

"Ah, right. I forgot that you don't know," I facepalmed. "So 'yah' is used in Korea if you wanna say 'hey' or something."

Nongnong nodded, forming an 'O' with his mouth.

"Yah Ai Yangguang!" he suddenly shouted with a smile.

I glared at him, "Why are you--"

"Just trying it," he laughed and ran to his classroom.

I shook my head while smiling. He's still like a little kid, and that's what I like him about him. He's so innocent.

I'm glad that within this week, Nongnong's Korean language has improved a lot, thanks to me of course *laughed proudly*.

Nongnong is a really cheerful person. I don't know, but everytime I saw him, I felt something on my stomach and I kinda started to feel nervous. Maybe because I'm not used to being close with a guy.

I was about to step into my class when I heard whispers behind me.

"Yah, that's Ai Yangguang right?"

"Yeah, she's lucky that she can speak mandarin and talk to the handsome boys, especially Chen Linong."

"I hate her, she's acting like she's the only one who can communicate with them."

"I think she's trying to get attention from them, look at how she acts with Linong."

"I like Chen Linong, I'm now gonna make my move before her."

After hearing the last line, I balled my fist and turned around. I saw three girls behind me. They looked surprised, but soon they smirked.

"Look who's glaring at us," one of them said. I knew this girl, her name is Jihee. (a/n. note that she's a fictional character.)

"Don't you dare to touch Chen Linong," I said firmly. Nongnong is such an innocent pure boy, I can't let him being affected by a bad gossip girl like her. She's a playgirl and she's one year older than us. She often come to boys' houses to do something inappropriate.

"Who are you? His bestfriend? His girlfriend? His sister?" she looked at me then laughed. "Or his translator?"

I gritted my teeth, "I don't care who I am to him as long as I protect him from a girl like you."

She stepped closer, "Let's see if you can protect him well, because I like an innocent boy, so easy for me to make him fall for me."

"You b*tch," I glared at her before I stepped on her foot and stomped into the classroom.

I heard her screaming my name but I ignored her. She deserved that anyway. I went to my seat and Nongnong noticed my expression.

"Why? Something happened?" he asked.

"Nongnong, listen to me," I said and faced him. "If there's a girl that comes to you and she seems like a bad type of girl, stay away from her okay?"

He raised an eyebrow, "What?"

I sighed, "Just, stay away. Okay?"

"Okay," he hesitantly nodded and still looking at me with his confused expression.

Linong's POV

I got confused when Yangguang said that. She looked panicked and worried. So I just nodded my head to calm her down.

Finally after our long boring lesson that I couldn't really understand, the school bell rang which marked the end of school rang.

I stretched my arms and let out a long sigh, before taking my books with me to the locker. Once I reached my locker, I saw Yangguang beside me who was in a hurry.

"Nongnong, I need to go now. Something happened," she said as she closed the locker door then looked at me. "Remember what I said okay."

With that, she left. I continued packing my books so I could do my homework later at home, then sling my bag to my right shoulder. I was about to close the locker door when a girl approached me.

"Chen Linong?" she called.

I looked at her in confusion, "Yeah?"

She smiled and stepped closer. She asked me something in Korean. I facepalmed, I couldn't understand her. So I stayed silent.

"Ahh right. Are you going home?" this time she asked in mandarin.

"Yes. Why?"

She stepped closer again, way too close until I could feel her breath on my neck. I was about to step back when she held my hand that was holding the locker door since before. She smirked and closed it.

"Go home with me," she whispered in my ear.

I frowned. How does she even know how to speak in mandarin?

"No. Why should I?"

She stepped back a little and stared at my face, before touching my cheek. I widened my eyes and instantly slapped her hand away.

Author's POV

"Reject me now. But you'll soon beg me to be with you," Jihee said in Korean, so Nongnong couldn't understand her.

Nongnong frowned even more, still disgusted with her sudden touch.

"My name is Nam Jihee. Nice to meet you, Chen Linong," she said in mandarin before walking away. Her footsteps were echoing through the hallway because of her heels.

Actually, before having a conversation with Nongnong, Jihee already prepared everything from before. She memorized the lines in mandarin.

"Perhaps, is that the girl that Yangguang talked about just now?" Nongnong muttered.

---

"WHAT?! WHAT DID YOU SAY?!"

He put the phone away from his ear, because of her sudden shout. He decided to put it on speaker.

"I met a girl named Nam Jihee," he said again.

"What did she do?" Yangguang asked, trying to calm herself down.

"She's trying to flirt with me," I answered honestly.

"Then? What's your reaction?" Yangguang was praying in her heart that Nongnong didn't do something she's been worrying since this afternoon.

"She asked me to go home with her, and I rejected her. She touched my face, and I slapped her hand away," Nongnong said.

"W--what?! She touched you?!" Yangguang seemed like she couldn't control her anger anymore.

"Yeah, and I was so confused when she suddenly speak in mandarin," he said.

She sighed in frustration, "That b*tch seriously, I'm gonna end her tomorrow."

"Yangguang, watch your words," I reminded her. "Are you that worried about me?"

"Of course! You're my innocent little friend, how can I not be worried when a badass girl flirted with you?"

He frowned, "Yah! I'm not little! I'm way taller than you!"

She laughed, "But I'm more mature than you. I can protect you more than you can protect yourself."

"DON'T UNDERESTIMATE ME!! WATCH ME, I'M GONNA PROTECT YOU FROM ALL HARMS AND DANGER!!" he shouted.

She laughed, "Sure sure, protect me."
