The jingle rang in my ears and I immediately assumed it was Jaemin, until I heard whistling of a tune.
"Mark?" I called, seeing the male reveal himself from behind an aisle.
"Oh, I forgot you worked night shift." he jogged up to the counter, holding a bag of ramen.
"Why are you here?" I asked, our hands meeting, sharing a brotherly handshake.
"Donghyuck was complaining that he was hungry. We ran out of food in our dorm, so I had to get some real quick." he explained, his hands digging around in his pockets.
I nodded as he handed me a crumpled dollar bill.
"He's so needy, I sometimes question my love for him." he sighed.
"At least you have a boyfriend." I shot back.
He came closer, leaning over the counter, just for the sole purpose of elbowing me.
"Hey, you'll find someone sooner or later."
Mark left, a tiny sigh leaving my lips.
A few moments later, Jaemin entered the mart.

btw if you're wondering i did not just add mark in this chapter because it's his birthday. most of this story is pre written and it so happens that the chapter he appears in goes up today
