My mind was caught in a whirl - this sounds rather cliche, but I couldn't get the kiss out of my head. In fact, all my thoughts involved Jaemin because I was extremely worried and concerned about him, but also his lips - damn, how I wanted them on mine again.

"Earth to Jeno."

I blinked at the sound of my roommate's voice. My thumbnail dropped from between my teeth as I shook my head, reality engulfing me.

"Why are you thinking so hard? You've really been out of it lately." Chenle stated, furrowing his eyebrows as he stood in front of my bed where I was sitting.

"Sorry." I mumbled.

"Anyways, can I borrow your car again?"

"What is it this time?"

"Jisung and I are going on a date somewhere far, I don't wanna pay for gas."

"Seriously?" I arched an eyebrow at him. "If you really love him that much, you pay full price for it." I hissed, sounding a little more aggressive than I had intended.

"Wow, okay." Chenle shot back, turning around and leaving my room.

I sighed, burying my face into my hands.

The last of my coffee ran down my throat. I tossed the plastic cup into the trash and started to pace behind the counter, the soft beats of the music filling my ears.

I fetched my phone from my pocket, opening up messages.

Me: Jaemin, are you coming tonight?

My thumb hovered over the send button, I didn't want to sound clingy. Sighing, I decided against the idea, backspacing the question.

The jingle of the door caught my attention, snapping me out of my thoughts. My eyes lightened, expecting it to be Jaemin, but dulled a little since I saw black hair.

Renjun came up to the counter, placing his items onto the surface and searching for money in his wallet.

"Hi Renjun." I greeted him, his eyes lifting.

"Hey." he replied, handing the cash to me.

I skimmed over the items, a pint of chocolate ice cream catching my attention.

"Jeno,"

"Yeah?" I answered, my eyes drifting back to him.

"Thank you, you know, for the stuff you do for Jaemin. He's been in a brighter mood lately."

My lips curled into a smile. "I'm glad he's doing better."

"The reason he's not coming tonight," he chuckled, gazing up at the lights above me. "is because he's asleep."

My eyes widened at his remark. "He's sleeping?"

"Yeah, it's a miracle. He told me his nightmares are fading away."

Lips parting, my heart sped up, a warm feeling spreading across my whole body.

"That's great." I acknowledged, meeting his blissful gaze.

"Truly." he agreed, taking his purchased items into his grasp. "See you Jeno."

"Bye Renjun."

When he left, a soft laugh escaped my lips, my palms pressing against the counter. I hope you get that long desired rest, Jaemin.
