I was struggling to keep myself awake, all those days I spent sleeping in over winter break have definitely messed up my internal clock.

Finishing my fourth cup of coffee, I tossed it into the mini trash can behind the counter.

I rubbed my tired eyes, seeing Jaemin approaching the counter.

This time he handed me coins, not paper money.

"Finally putting all that change to use?" I asked, dropping them into the register.

"New Years resolution." he simply answered, in his usual hushed tone.

"Did you have a good winter break?"

He tilted his head down slowly then back up again, indicating a nod.

"Ah, that's nice to hear. Enjoy your ice cream."

Without another word, he gave me his usual teethless smile and exited the mart.
