The door of the mart jingled and my eyes lifted from my phone.
The raven haired boy strolled through the aisles, grabbing a stack of ramen bowls.
"Hi Jeno." Renjun greeted me, laying all his food out onto the counter to pay.
"Hey Renjun." I smiled back, popping the cash into the register.
"Do you have a thing going on with Jaemin?" he suddenly asked.
My lips parted, heat rushing into my cheeks.
"Why are you asking?" I questioned back.
"He was wearing your jacket the other day." he simply answered.
"Oh. I offered it to him because it was raining and he got completely soaked." I replied, keeping my eyes down as I sorted through the cash.
"Alright then." he sighed. "You know, you act like the shoulder Jaemin can lean on."
"I do?" I lifted my head.
He nodded. "Even though I'm the person he lives with, I could never comfort him enough. But he told me about the night he spent here during the storm and he seemed so happy he almost cried. I haven't seen him like that in a long time."
I blinked a few times, a warm feeling spreading across my whole body.
"I'm glad." I smiled. That expression faded into a more serious one as I processed the information more.
"Is he not happy all the time?" I asked, my expression softening.
"Jeno, Jaemin has depression." Renjun bluntly stated. "He's been struggling with it for a while." his eyes casted down.
My breath hitched, my lips pressed into a tight line.
"Sorry for asking." I murmured, lightly knocking my knuckles against the surface of the counter.
"It's fine." Renjun grabbed his snacks off the counter. "See you Jeno."
