"Out of chocolate?" I questioned, eyeing the pint of salted caramel ice cream.
He nodded in reply.
I sighed, popping open the drawer of the register. I pushed what I saw the other night to the back of my mind, not wanting to bring it up to him.
"Hey Jaemin?"
"Mhm?"
"Don't you get tired of ice cream?"
"No, not really." he mumbled back.
"Hm." I handed him his change. "You know, it's not exactly the healthiest choice to be eating everyday-"
"But I can't stop eating it." he interrupted.
"Why?" I asked, concern running through my voice.
He turned away from me.
"It drowns out my thoughts."
I wanted to reply, words gathering at the tip of my tongue, yet none of them left my parted lips.
His figure disappear into the night.
