Night Shift // nomin

1:37am

"Donghyuck, you just can't get things for free because I work here." I chuckled, watching the boy pout.

"But can't you offer your friends discounts?" he bargained.

"No, that's not part of business." I sighed.

"Ugh, this is Mark's fault. He wanted ramen at one in the morning." he handed me the cash which I slipped into the register.

"Aha, but you still tend to his needs and go get ramen for him." I shook my head, earning myself a nudge in the side and a satan like glare.

The jingle echoed through my ears and I looked passed Donghyuck, seeing Jaemin arrive.

"Why did you smile all of a sudden?" he turned his head, his eyes landing on the hooded boy who was grabbing ice cream out of the freezer.

He moved aside when Jaemin came up to the counter.

"Oh, here's your jacket." he muttered extending his arm towards me, his fingers clasping around the fabric.

"Thanks." I replied, taking it and slipping it on. I was a little disappointed that he didn't speak louder; Donghyuck was standing a few feet away from him, after all.

"Thank you for letting me borrow it." he bit his lip, holding the ice cream pint.

"No problem, it wasn't a big deal." I assured him.

He left the mart, Donghyuck walking in front of the counter again.

"Is he your boyfriend?" he questioned, knitting his eyebrows together.

"What? No." I responded, obviously flustered by his question.

"Mhm. Why did he have your jacket? I don't recall you telling me about him."

"Well, his name is Jaemin, he comes almost every night. And remember that huge storm that happened a few days ago? He came completely soaked in rain, so I offered him my jacket." I explained, rubbing the back of my neck.

"Oh, I see." he placed his hand under his chin as he processed the information.

I shook my head. "I'm gonna be single forever Donghyuck, you know that."

"Yeah, keep telling yourself. I bet you and this Jaemin boy will be a couple in no time."

"What? Donghyuck-"

"See you later No jam."

He darted out the door.

contemplating if i should start publishing other stories i'm currently working on (one is about yuwin, the other is markhyuck). their chapters are much longer than these ones and are also written in third person.

if i do decide to publish, which one should it be? and how often should it be updated?
