At around 6am today Samantha texted me telling me not to walk to school because she was gonna pick me up. I sat in the kitchen waiting for her.
Mom: what are you still doing here, need a ride?
Cali: no.
Mom: I don't what you're trying to do but you're going to school today!
Cali: I'm waiting for my friend!
I love my mother to death but sometimes she just annoys me with her assumptions and questioning. She always wants to know what I'm doing, where I'm going but in reality she doesn't give a fuck. She's just trying to act all out together for my step dad.
Mom: speaking of "friends" who are all of those new kids you've been hanging out with lately.
Cali: lately? It's been months that just show how much you DON'T pay attention.
Samantha honked her horn so I went outside. I got in the back. Everyone was there as usual. Except for gray.
Cali: hey uh, where's gray?
*jay turned around in his seat*
Samantha: oh he's out.
*he smirked at me*
Cali: what do you mean he's "out" *I said while gripping my bag*
Jacob: he keeps being a pussy soooo we exclude him.
Cali: wha-
Samantha: relax bitch, we're joking.
*jay lightly hit Samantha on her leg*
Samantha: jay you should really be concerned by how much she likes gray.
Jay: nah.

Once we all got to school we split up and went to our classes, except for me jay. We both had class together. We sat in the back as usual.
Jay: isn't it funny.
Cali: what? *I asked while taking my things out of my bag*
Jay: this is where it all started. *he giggled* if it wasn't for ms teacher over there we wouldn't have even met each other. Funny right?
Cali: uh, sure.
He sat back in his chair and crossed his arms while I continued to work, I could tell he was looking right at me.
Cali: what?
Jay: why do you care about gray so much?
Cali: is it bad to care for people.
Jay: no. Well, it's bad to care for other guys.
Cali: last time I checked me and you weren't even dating so why does it matter.
Jay: fine. Will you go out with me?
Cali: what!?
Jay: w I l l y o u g o o u t-
Cali: sureee???
Jay: ok it's official.
Cali: ok, whatever.
I was playing it off cool but on the inside I was freaking out.
*********fast forward// lunch*******
The bell rang I grabbed my things and left the biology room.
I walked to the cafeteria grabbed my lunch and walked toward the table we always sit at. I looked around and everyone was staring at me whispering to the person beside them. I hurried and rushed to sit down because I felt awkward.
Cali: why is everyone staring at me?
*I said hiding my face with my backpack*
Samantha: word got around.
Cali: that quick? *I said in shock*
Jacob: yeah, we was happy as fuck.
Cali: really? *i said smiling*
Samantha: he never told anyone we were dating. *she stuffed her face with fries*
Gray: because he didn't actually like you.
Samantha: SHUT UP LOSER! I'm going to the bathroom. *she stormed out of the cafeteria*
Everyone at the table started laughing, lightly.
Jacob: here comes lover boy.
Jay sat down at the table and kissed me on the cheek.
X: great, now we're gonna have to deal with this.
I've never told anyone this but I'm pretty sure Savannah likes gray, she's always staring at him. And then when he looks back at her she turns away. Nah, maybe I'm thinking too much.
*********Ice cream parlor********
After school we all went out for ice cream just like we planned. We've all been drifting away from each other lately and I want us all to be close again.
We were all sitting down at a bench talking and laughing. But Savannah was at another table by herself. I pulled jays arm from off of me and sat beside her.
Cali: I know you're mad at me.
Savannah: why would I be mad?
Cali: I've known you all my life Savannah, I know when you're mad.
Savannah: I just don't understand why it can't be like it used to. We let a boy come between us.
Cali: no, you let a boy come between us.
Savannah: yeah, you're right.
Cali: but it's ok. Because you still have grayyyyy.
*i said jokingly while nudging her arm*
Savannah: you think I like gray?
Cali: I know you do. I see the way you look at him. I see everything.
*she chuckled*
Cali: cmon. * I grabbed her arm and walked her over to sit with us*
I pulled my phone out and texted gray.
Cali: talk to sav.
Gray: why.
Cali: she likes you.
Jay grabbed my phone and read the messages. He looked at me and opened his mouth in shock.
Sorry for any spelling/punctuation errors. Sheesh this book is almost over 1 part left. I don't know how Imma end it so I'm gonna have to do a lot of thinking but yeah, see y'all.
