The Home Run

Chapter 15

I woke up the next morning to my back hurting. I sat up and tried to stretch it out but nothing was helping. I stood up and walked into the kitchen and made sure i took my pregnancy vitamins and decided to eat some toast. As i was eating Brooklyn woke up. "hey" she said as she practically pushed me out of the way to make coffee. "good morning" i laughed "we haven't been able to talk yet" she said as she filled up her cup and started drinking her coffee. "about what?" i asked and hopped up on the counter to sit down. "why you decided to move to Washington all of a sudden" she replied "well ive been thinking about it for a while because i missed all of my friends. But i couldn't leave until i got accepted into another residency program and it finally happened" i smiled "are you sure it's not because of alex?" she smirked "some of it is, but Ive missed you and Jack too" i told her just as Alex walked into the kitchen, he walked over to me and pulled me into a hug. "good morning baby" he said in his husky morning voice. "good morning" i replied as he pulled away and kissed me. "what i dont get a good morning baby?" Brooklyn asked "hi" he groaned towards Brooklyn and pulled me into a hug again. I smiled at her over his shoulder and she rolled her eyes and walked back into the living room. "How'd you sleep?" he asked as he took a bite of my toast "horrible. My whole body hurts" i said "my back hurts a bit too" he sighed and ran his hand over my stomach. "you make me so happy" he smiled just as his phone started ringing. "hello?" he asked and i kissed his jaw. "ok, ok, yea were leaving in-" he started and looked at the clock "an hour" he said into the phone "alright bye" he said and hung up. "are you ready?" he asked smiling "yea" i replied as i got off of the counter and walked into my bedroom. I made sure nothing was left, then i went into my bathroom and grabbed my last few things after i brushed my teeth and hair. Once i had everything i went into my moms room and hugged her and kissed her forehead and we left. "jack hooked your car onto the truck so were going to have to get a cab" alex said as we walked outside.

The cab ride wasnt too bad, the traffic was horrible so the ride took longer than usual but we still made it on time. When we got to the airport we checked our bags and everything then walked to the terminal and through security. About 45 minutes later they called our flight so we grabbed our carryons and walked onto the plane. I had the window seat while alex and Brooklyn had the middle seat. My back was still hurting so i tried my best to get comfortable and I ate some crackers and drank some water.

The flight only took a couple hours, then we touchdown in Washington DC I sighed in relief. I stood up and walked off the plane with them and over to the baggage claim. Once we had our bags we walked outside and found jack waiting for us. We jumped in the car and drove to Alex's house.

When we got to Alex's house we walked inside and immediately started rearranging stuff. The guys moved my dresser into alexs room, then i put most of my clothes into it. Brooklyn decided to order pizza while i went with jack and alex to rent a storage until to put the studf i didnt need until we moved. It wasnt a lot. Just my bed, and a couple tables and decor for around the house. After we put that stuff away we went back to the house and alex made room in his closet for the rest of my clothes.

Four hours later we were finished unpacking. I sat down to eat but i started to feel sick. "actually im going to have a shower before i eat. I desperately need one" i annonced as i stood up. Alex gave me a confused look but i continued walking into the bedroom. I grabbed a pair of shorts and couldn't finish getting my clothes because i ran into the bathroom and threw up. I heard footsteps so i locked the door to keep Brooklyn and jack out. I tried to be as quiet as possible. "baby its me, are you ok?" alex asked through the door. I unlocked it and he walked over to me and pulled my hair into a bun and rubbed my back. "you should go back out there. They'll think somethings up" i told him as i sighed and flushed the toilet. "no i should be here with you." he replied as I stood up and washed my hands and face. "im going to take a shower and hopefully that'll make me feel better" i told him and pulled him into a hug. "you probably overworked yourself the last few days. Just take it slow and let me help you" he said as he rubbed my back "ok, i will." i told him as I walked into the bedroom and grabbed my underwear and shorts i already had, alex walked over to his drawer and pulled out a shirt and handed it to me "thank you" i smiled. He nodded and walked out and i went back to the bathroom and took a shower.

Once i was done i joined the group on the couch and ate some pizza. We talked for a while until Jack decided to call it a night so they left. Leaving me alone with alex.
