So why don't you go and live more

You're killing yourself

You don't need the distractions

Or his or her mindless attraction

Ain't gonna give you satisfaction

So make a change and take to action

In your life

Make things right

Take care yourself

Cause ain't nobody else

Gonna be able

To keep you stable

24 7 when life turns the tables

When the time comes

Tell me will you be able

To hold yourself up

Put your cards on the table

With Nothing to be ashamed of

Nothing to be afraid of

There's nothing to be afraid of

Just gotta keep your head up

Stick to them books keep them read love

They say play hard and work harder

But how you gonna do that when you're a father

When you're a mother taking care of her daughter

Waking up in the morning
and you're not the only one

Not the only mouth to feed
when you've got yourself a son

It only takes one time

To put your childhood behind

So keep that in mind

Next time you wanna cross the line

I know it gets hard

Sometimes life makes you feel dumb

And all you wanna do is to let go and feel numb

Not worry 'bout the consequences

But now you're running jumping fences

Whether real or metaphorically

All you know it's not where you wanna be

So come real close and hear these words from me
