You've lost it
That piece of yourself
You've lost her
To somebody else
All you have left is the memory
But she's still out there somewhere
And the visions that come aren't friendly
The ones that tell you you still care
Whether or not she remembers you
Won't change that you think of her often
You wonder if you will ever let go
But you know she'll never be forgotten
Because the memories were sown
Into your veins
Into your heart
And to take them from where they hide
Would mean tearing yourself apart
* * *
But maybe that's what you need
A new beginning
So tear yourself down
And start reinventing
Love always comes back around
So go on, start living
