I smiled down at Sara as she paged through her book, head in my lap. She had a content look on her face. I played with strands of her hair absent-mindedly. "What's on your mind ?" She asked. "Just thinking." I replied vaguely. She frowned, punching me lightly. "About Kara and Sam." I explained. She sighed, "I'm glad they're both moving on, but it's an unhealthy relationship." I nodded. They'd both gone on a weekend trip to the countryside. Suddenly there was a loud crash outside the house. We ran to the window. Sherlock was lying amongst the rubbish bins, staring up at a woman in outrage. She pointed to 221B and held a rose out to Sherlock, shaking it at him vigorously. Finally, he stood up, dusted himself off and walked towards the door. We scrambled back onto the couch as we heard Mrs Hudson open the door and let out a little shriek. I focused on the details of Sara's hair as we heard footsteps on the stairs. We shared a glance as we heard whisper yelling, followed by Sherlock emerging from the doorway, as if he'd been pushed, with a sheepish expression on his face, the girl walked in after him, wearing a triumphant smile. "You're back." Remarked Sara. He nodded slowly. "He has been for 3 weeks but he refused to come see you. I had to drag him here." Said the girl, Sherlock looked at her in accusation. "I'm Sierra." She said "Sherlock's friend, and before you make assumptions I'm not dating Sherlock. We're just friends." I smiled. "So where are you living now ?" Asked Sara. "With Irene." He replied flippantly. I gaped at him, looking questioningly at Sierra. "Mycroft." She replied. "John, Sara. I owe you an apology. It was stupid of me to run away like that, and I really am terribly sorry." Sara was the first to react, nodding and drawing him into a hug. He smiled, patting her on the back. I stood unsure, watching him warily. "You won't leave again." I said. He nodded. I hugged him, "Good to have you back mate," I said. After a while, Sherlock clapped his hands together. "Now that we're friends again, who's up for some tea ?" He asked. Sierra cleared her throat "And coffee." He added smiling.

"-And then I threw him out the window." Finished Sierra. We all laughed. Sierra was friendly but stood for none of Sherlock's nonsense, it was brilliant. We all paused as we heard the door open, "Canceled due to overbookings, I mean what kind of hotel does that ?!" Kara's voice floated upwards. Sherlock blanched and looked at us. "You said she was away !" We looked at him helplessly. "We have to go, we can, we can jump, out of the window. "Goodbye." He said, grabbing Sierra's wrist and running into his room. Just then Kara walked in. "We're back !" She exclaimed. Then she saw Sherlock's scarf, in his haste he'd left it lying on the sofa. "Mycroft dropped it off." I lied. She nodded before disappearing down the stairs, going into Sam's room. I ran to the window just in time to see Sherlock and Sierra turning around the corner. I smiled before looking to Sara. I took the scarf and went to put it in Sherlock's closet. Then I saw it. The small brown box, hidden from view. Cautiously, I opened it, curiosity overcoming me. My eyes widened as I saw the countless letters and photos lying inside all of Sherlock and Kara. She isn't over him, there is hope for them yet. I thought with a smile.
