It'd been almost a month since I'd turned up at Sherlock's doorstep. I'd moved in and we'd become friends. We were both strange in our own respective ways but we made it work with a good, albeit unusual friendship. He was funny in that he insisted that "sentiment" was a waste of time but it was so blaringly obvious that the detective was head over heels in love with Kara. I watched him polish his violin lovingly, plucking the strings with a wistful expression on his face. I frowned. Pouring myself a cup of coffee and diluting it with milk, I sat opposite him. Finally, after I'd stared at him for a few minutes, he put his violin down and glared at me. "Is there something you would like to say, or are you just staring at me for no good reason ?" He asked. I scowled before pulling two pieces of paper. Two flight tickets to London. He turned his head to me. "No." Was all he said before he returned to polishing his violin. "Sherlock just cons-" he silenced me with a look, glaring at me. "You know I can't, more specifically, you know why I can't." I forced him to look at me, grabbing his arm. "I know Sherlock, I do, but look at you. You're miserable cooped up in here. We can ask Mycroft for a place in London and we can move there. It's wouldn't close to Baker Street and you don't even have to tell them you're back !" I pleaded. He looked away, debating. Then, he turned to me. "Ok, fine. It might do me some good. But I will not tell anyone I am in London, and neither will you." I nodded. He was a fool, but at least it was a start. I stood up to put my coffee cup in the sink. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw him take out the ring box. I smiled. They would get back together, even if it was the last thing I did. He caught me looking and jammed the box into his pocket. I laughed. He picked up his violin and began to play. The piece had major and minor notes and it soared and dropped pitch when you least expected it. It was beautiful. I squinted at the music stand. It was titled "La danse de Cupidon" Cupid's Dance. I smiled as I watched the detective play, unknowingly declaring his acceptance of love.
