"That was sick," Sam said as the five of them walked out of the party.

"I had a good time," Rebecca said. She walked alongside Jake as they reached Andrew's car.

"Well, it's not the best party anyone could have gone to, but I'm glad you guys came out," Jake said.

"Me too," Rebecca said. She smiled at Jake and looked away sheepishly.

"So what are we doing now?" Sam asked.

"We're doing something else?" Adrienne asked.

"Yeah, why not?" Sam said. "The night is young. Anyone opposed?"

"I'm down for that," Jake said.

"What about Nate?" Adrienne said.

"What about him?" Sam asked. "He's either gonna crash at someone else's place or he's gonna get back hella later than we are."

"I guess you're right," Adrienne said with a shrug.

"We don't have to," Andrew said. "It is getting kinda late, Jake."

"Not to mention we're out past curfew," Rebecca said.

"Oh come on," Sam said. "Live a little!"

"Let's just go back to my place," Andrew suggest. "We can hang out on my court."

"Alright," Jake said as he opened one of the back doors on Andrew's car. "Adrienne sits shotgun!"

"Woo!" Sam said, getting in and sliding across to the other side. "Oh shit, we're gonna get crammed."

One everyone was inside, Andrew apologized. "I know it's not the most luxurious of wheels but it's functional."

"It's cool," Adrienne said with a smile.

Andrew looked back at her and smiled. "Alright, let's get out of here." He put the car in drive and started to drive away.

"So Adrienne," Andrew said. "What do you like so far about Carolton?"

"Umm," Adrienne said. "I don't know... It's small... And cute."

Sam giggled to herself. "Small and cute?"

Rebecca hit her friend in the rib cage.

"Yeah," Adrienne said, turning around the stare at her for a second. She turned back around. "It really feels like a community around here."

"That's what high school football and basketball does around here," Jake said. "We don't have anything else to really celebrate."

"True statement," Sam said. "It's boring really, Adrienne. You wouldn't like living here." She giggled a little bit again.

Adrienne shook her head. "What do you like about it here, Andrew?" she asked.

"I don't know really," Andrew said, pondering. "I've lived here my whole life so really it's just home to me."

"Same," Adrienne said. She panicked. "Well, I mean about my home town. I know where you're coming from."

A smile creeped up on Andrew's face. "Cool," he said.

"So I have a question," Jake said.

"I might have an answer," Adrienne replied.

"What's your story?" Jake asked.

"That's ambiguous," Andrew remarked.

"Sorry," Jake laughed a little. "Just tell me more about yourself, I guess."
