When Junhui stepped into the cosy apartment, he was immediately attacked.

Swinging his arms around the older man and pressing his face into the crook of Junhui's neck, Minghao hugged his best friend tightly. Jun chuckled and curled his arms around Minghao's thin waist.

"I missed you," Minghao mumbled as Junhui stroked his hand through the hair at the back of the younger's head.

"I've only been gone for two weeks, Hao," Jun replied.

"I missed you," he repeated, smiling against the skin of Jun's neck, "You promised me food and cuddles."

"I don't recall the food part." Jun laughed. "But anything for my baby."

"I'm not a baby," whined Minghao, pushing away from the older boy and pouting childishly. Jun just rolled his eyes playfully and walked to the kitchen to prepare food for them. Minghao sat at the counter and watched him as he tied the apron around his waist and began to take things out of cupboards.

When he was done, Jun sat on the opposite side of the counter and held his chopsticks up for Minghao and he happily ate it. "Definitely not a baby."

Minghao ignored the comment and opened his mouth for more, Junhui chuckling before feeding him again. The two spent their day lazing around until they decided to head out for a bit. Junhui promised Minghao they would cuddle after that.

Jun dragged Minghao to this restaurant he'd found out about just before he'd left for China. He intentionally hadn't told Minghao about it because he wanted to be the one to take his best friend to the place.

The place was basically a combination of an art gallery and a restaurant and Jun knew for a fact that Minghao would love it. When they stepped inside, a gasp slipped from the younger man's lips as he looked around in admiration of the beautiful artworks displayed throughout the place. Junhui looked at him with admiration, taking in every time Minghao's eyes would light up with excitement.

"Junnie. . ." he whispered, eyes still wide, "This is stunning. I love it."

"I knew you would."

The pair ate together happily and Minghao was extremely pleased that their food was as good as it looked. He knew he'd be coming here more often. He'd even asked the owner, who came to check on them to ensure that everything was okay, how one would get their art displayed there.

After finding out that he had a shot at displaying his own art at the gorgeous restaurant, he was over the moon. Jun was ecstatic to see his best friend in such a blissful state after all the hard work and stress he'd went through these past few months due to work and such.

Now, they were back at Minghao's warm apartment, Jun fulfilling his promise of an endless night of cuddles. He generally wasn't too big on skinship but for Minghao, he would keep his arms wrapped around him forever if it meant keeping him happy.

After washing up and changing (Jun always kept extra clothes at his best friend's place, knowing fully well that he ended up sleeping there mist of the time) the two finally went to bed after a long, euphoric day together. They settled down in the warmth of Minghao's thick duvet, taking their respective sides of the bed.

Jun pulled Minghao close to him, allowing the younger's back to rest against his chest. Wrapping his arms around Minghao's slim waist, he finally allowed his eyes to flutter close and drift into a peaceful slumber.

What he didn't feel was Minghao turn in his arms to face him and press a feather light kiss on his jawline before relaxing back in their previous position and finally, finally, falling asleep in the arms of his favourite person.

a/n sorry for being a bit behind on updates recently. School's been a bitch and I've been kind of sick lately. I hope everyone is doing well! I wanted to say thank you so much to all of you who read, vote and/or comment because it makes my whole day ❤️

Should Junhao be a thing or nah? I know it wasn't mentioned in the description but. . . I'm soft for China line.
