"Please, Hao. Please tell me what's wrong."
Behind the closed door, Minghao hid his tear streaked face behind his arm, wiping furiously at his eyes as more tears built up and threatened to fall. He wasn't sad, he truly wasn't. Yes, he was frustrated, he was mad, and built up emotions had led to him bursting, but he wasn't sad.
And Junhui — Jun was standing on the other side of the wooden door, heart beating fast in worry for his best friend, trying to understand the situation. What had happened? Why did Minghao suddenly burst into tears while they were out together? What caused this outburst?
Little did he know that he was the cause of the younger's tears.
Silence
for both of them.
Jun said nothing, back resting against the door as he brought his knees up to his chest, trying to hear something, anything from Minghao as a sign that he was alright.
Minghao sat in the same position, head resting on his knees as the silence rang through his brain, the lack of anything from Jun worried him. Did he leave? Did he not care?
"Junhui," Minghao whimpered, unable to stand the quiet atmosphere.
"Hao?" he replied, "What's wrong, baby?"
"Don't."
"Don't what?"
"I can't do this anymore, Junhui."
An intake of breath. "Can't do what, Minghao?"
Minghao let his head fall back against the door. "It hurts, okay? I can't keep watching you—" he cut himself off, not wanting to finish his sentence and potentially destroy his friendship with Junhui.
"Watching me what? Please talk to me, Hao. Tell me what I did wrong," replied Jun, desperation seeping into his tone.
"No," the younger mumbled, sniffling and using his sleeve to wipe his tears once more, "I can't."
"You can tell me anything, baby, you're my best friend."
Best friend. Minghao knew that that was all he'd ever be to Junhui.

"What the hell, Wen Junhui?!"
Jeonghan was scary when he was angry. It was rare for him to get angry in the first place so when it did happen, nobody wanted to be around for it, much less be on the receiving end of it like Jun was now.
"What do you have to say for yourself?" asked the older man, crossing his arms over his chest strictly, a deep frown on his face as he stared down at a sulking Junhui.
Jun didn't reply.
"How could you do that to him, Jun? He's probably feeling like shit right now! You out of all people should know that he gets insecure and that he's probably gonna beat himself up about this," Jeonghan scolded, shaking his head. He wasn't really angry, he was just heavily disappointed in the younger.
"I know, and I feel like shit, okay?" he put his face in his hands, not wanting Jeonghan to see the tears building up in his eyes.
